Re: What are your best/most memorable autocross moments? Version II

Whew there's a lot. But, as far as the driving goes, I have to say that this run is the best run I had ever made in any car. I'm not sure what it was that day, but it just clicked. Truly one of those zen like experiences where there was no thought, no preconceived notions, no expectation. Shortish c...

Re: New Spec Coupe Class Unveiled For Twins

Anybody local thinking about running this class? Depends on if my subframe cracks! I know that Nick ripped out a swaybar mount. Is that the same issue or something different? Anyway, I'm kinda thinking about this. Not really feeling the Spyder at the moment.... Yeah, same issue. Big bar putting str...

Re: The Solo Nationals Record Book – 2017

Just a note, I got to glimpse at this while prepping for announce at nationals. It's pretty badass with all the info that's there.

Re: Data/Camera set up

So, Chris.. with yours laying in the passenger floor,do you take the extra time to sync it and then look at data? And I too, want to see wheel/hand position. I have considered mounting to passenger head rest or somewhere to get some of that.. I assume the tablet has to be Blue Tooth AND Wifi ? One ...

Re: Data/Camera set up

Dave Ogburn has his go pro linked to solo storm and can watch it after each run, not sure how he has done that but it is doable. Yep, it will auto-sync and import over wifi, but you have to import the low res otherwise it takes forever. It kills your battery though, and you have to wait for it. I'd...

Re: Data/Camera set up

My Setup: Google Nexus 7 tablet GoPro Hero 4 External Mic SoloStorm The wire for mine is an external mic so that I don't get wind noise. I think it's a necessity. It really helps you hear the throttle on video and in doing so gives you some audible data to compare how long you were on the throttle i...

Re: 2018 PAX is out...

I'd take an 8 against the twins. Thing is you start to get into some really weird course dependencies in DS if the 8 is there. AWD vs Revs vs all-around ok car. And Kevin...generally the harder or more expensive a car is to own the less likely it will be classed competitively. Sent from my SM-G930R4...

Re: CAM Class

All this talk about brakes being approved on CAM cars, new cars... lol... When someone gets serious about a CAM-C car, it will look like the ridiculous build CAM-T cars. Start with a white body, cut it up to fix all the geometry issues inherent in a production car, lexan, fiberglass, carbon fiber, ...

The way I figure it, you only have to be within four seconds of James as long as autocross courses still have cones on them.

I think cam becomes a nationally recognized class in 2018 and gets a jacket at nationals.
From what I've read, the majority doesn't want that.
