Re: Great Job Paul ! #9

And dammit Rife. If we both sat on our fastest runs, I think you'd have missed the clinch by about 2/10ths of a point.

Re: Event 10 Sept. 24th

If it turns out you 2 are in different groups.. you both are in as ANNOUNCE! was trailer placement ok at Smokeys?? From a timing perspective I'd say it was ok. From an announce perspective, not a prayer because of the distance from the general spectating area. However, I'm not sure how much announc...

Re: Great Job Paul ! #9

Yep, that was a good battle!

Re: Event 10 Sept. 24th

Yeah, the computer gives more details that are somewhat important in order to paint a picture and give some perspective. Current position, difference from next position, and difference from first are the things I use. Mainly, letting folks know how much time is needed to move up or get the lead can ...

Whos gonna announce? 1 good speaker for each group.. Harp ??

Worker Chief ??
Sure I don't mind to announce a heat. Not sure on your course design, but it we want folks to hear, we'll need to make sure the trailer is somewhat near the fence.

Re: formula for gearing??

John, you could also think about going the other way. You have a lot of power and torque, so maybe think about getting into 3rd sooner but being able to hold it? Could make the car easier to get on throttle.

Course seemed fast riding in Kristo's car. I found myself rocking back and forth on the uphill runs on mine.
Haha. Let's just say I had plenty of time to place the car PERFECTLY for that left hander after the uphill run.

Re: Great Job Paul ! #9

I think the speed sense is how fast you are thru out the entire course, as opposed to just hitting high speeds at one or two parts for just a small section of the course. This course did carry speed thru out the course and not just a couple small section. Yep, average maintained speed with the righ...
