Re: Flatrock Motorsports Pricing

Pricing is confirmed...you have to fill out a form on the website...respond to an email setting up an appointment for a phone discussion...after which you must sign a nondisclosure agreement before they will give you the numbers... During the phone call I was told their intentions are to build an ex...

Membership questions

I ran the last solo event at Smokies using a weekend membership for SCCA. There's some older posts indicating that the weekend membership can get you a discount when joining SCCA. Is that still available? If so, how is it applied? I was on the SCCA website going through the motions. The form has a p...

Re: New to autocross - Seeking Helmet Advice

Thanks for the responses. I am sure you're correct on the ECE designation...I was a bit preoccupied when she came by. The chart was very helpful.

New to autocross - Seeking Helmet Advice

I used a borrowed helmet for the Autocross at Smokies Stadium on the 19th. A young lady approached and tried to give me information on a new style of helmet that was for sale. The timing was a bit bad as I was trying to get into the car for the next run and so I didn't get to pay as much attention t...

Re: Ethanol free gasoline....where?

Found an ethanol remover in the boat section of Wal-Mart. Don't remember the name, but it was in a small white bottle with blue writing on the label. They recommended changing your fuel filter prior to the first usage and keeping a second new filter on hand for when the new one you just put on stops...

Re: STM format changes... (pending)

I have a 3rd gen Camaro with 195,000 miles on the odometer. I have dreams of fixing it up and doing great things with it, but it the meantime I have no money or time to make many improvements. So I try to have as much fun with the car as I can without doing much work to it. Having said that, I did A...

Re: Maxima exhaust confusion...please help

I certainly appreciate the offer on the exhaust, but I've found a $120 offer for new exhaust installed. I don't have a lift and don't want to try much exhaust work in my driveway. My wife drove my truck to work today and I need to get her car taken care of today. Thanks anyway though, I'll keep you ...

Re: Maxima exhaust confusion...please help

Thanks to you guys for your help! I thought I'd call around and get a few more prices, but Kar Kare in Fountain City just quoted me $160 for everything from the Cat back. I'll probably go that route just to keep it quiet and to get the job over with quickly. This is my wife's daily driver. If I was ...

Maxima exhaust confusion...please help

I have a stock 98 Maxima. The exhaust pipe has finally given up the ghost and needs replaced. Looking under the car I find the Cat, something that looks like a muffler and then the muffler. Can anyone tell me what this intermediate canister is, and what it does? I would also like recommendations on ...
