Re: Experience with E85 stations around Knoxville?

Gotcha. Going to 800cc injectors and a 255 pump let me turn the boost up a bit and that was quite noticeable. So far, probably the best mod I have done in the sub 1k is put in 272 intake and exhaust cams. My car gained massive amounts of mid to top end power that it certainly didn't have before.

Re: Experience with E85 stations around Knoxville?

It is good that you got a tester. Everyone I know that runs full time E85 uses one each time. My dad runs a 50/50 mix of E85 and 93 in his BMW so while that creates two variables, the E85 (at Weigel's in Clinton) has been sort of hit or miss as far as how the car takes to it. Sometimes, I don't thin...

Re: REM Isotropic Superfinishing

That's pretty neat Isaac! We certainly do far more volume of motorsport or long duration vehicles. A lot of the roller bearings we do end up in semi truck transmissions, so they request that they be superfinished in order to help keep heat down and to help prolong the transmission because of the hig...

REM Isotropic Superfinishing

Hello ETR friends, I wanted to make it public that I am now offering Superfinishing services in Knoxville. Isotropic Superfinishing (ISF) is a process that combines mass media with refinement chemicals in a large vibratory bowl in order to enhance and correct many machining operations that can creat...

Re: Sunday's Event

It won't let me reg. as 112 cause damn old man Doyle already used it in class! I'll be available for timing (screwups) as usual. I hear ya on that one James. Every time I try to sign up in different classes using any sort of combinations of my 1 & 2 digits it tell me that someone, probably in l...

Re: BMS 2012 Event - May 6th, 2012

I'm interested in information on the drag strip portion of the event also.

1. Does a person who wishes to run a car down the dragstrip have to also compete in the autocross?

2. Could you compete in the autocross in one car and then run the dragstrip in a different one?

3. Costs/ Requirements?

Re: Explain the Tire class please

Well is it better to fight to close in on 1st, or win by a decent margin (based on my raw time vs. STM winning time for first 2 rounds)? I'm beginning to lean towards the second one. lol Your real issue is that you are running an SM pax but don't have an SM car. I am running a DS pax and I have a D...

Re: Explain the Tire class please

The tire class is set up in the same format as Pro in the way that your car will fit into whatever class it is destined for. For me, my Evo fits into SM. But, instead of competing in SM against JY and Scott who are on r-comp tires I run street tires in the TSM class. In the Tire class, you only comp...

Re: ETR #2 done!

If you have to have 5 runs to get it done, and you are shaving 1-1.5 seconds off your times..you need to walk more. If the walk thru data is properly downloaded into your senses, you improve very little from first run,and that first run is a very competitive run. My last run was my fastest, 3 seconds...

Re: ETR #2 done!

I agree with John, before I was in the current lazy "I'll just figure it out while I'm out there stage" I would walk the course twice and then draw it on a piece of paper while sitting by my car in the pits. IT kind of helped because I could make notes to remind myself of where to or what ...
