Re: Adesa today...great fun.. thanks to all who came!!!!!
Looks like a ton of fun. I was going to go to this event, but my roommate let me use his autox slot at the Run Through The Hills event up at Smokey's Stadium. Insanely fun day. Lots of ridiculous V8 cars too. Not the typical autox crowd that ETR has. 8) Still, I really wanted to see if the hype of A...

Anyone ever autox'd down in Chattanooga?
If so, how is it compared to Pellissippi? I can't make it to the event on the 11th so I'm thinking I'm gonna go to the one down there.

Re: Newbie to cone life
Could be due to the Camaro being more nose heavy. Just a thought.

Re: ETR Fundraiser - "SOLO In The Park" 08/07/2011
REALLY wanted to go to this event. Even moved my car up to my new place last weekend so I'd have it for next Sunday. Then dad's work decides to screw him over and I can't move until Sunday.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait. Good luck to everyone out there.

I'll be in touch soon. I'm gonna be moving back to Knox on Sunday. I'll try to get ahold of you next week sometime.

Re: Best shops for services (Alignment, Tire Mounting, etc.)
I'll chime in: Alignments: Had GREAT luck out of Fisher Tire on North Broadway. A younger guy there (Corey?) did my Mustang's alignment to my specs with no arguments. He's had Mustangs in the past with Caster/Camber plates and had a good knowledge of what he was doing. Even had zero issue doing my I...

Re: Might not be racing in knox, but at least i'm racing
^Yeah, that was me. 6x the size may have been exaggerated, maybe 2-3x, but it really does feel like a significantly larger area as there are no islands in the center and it's totally flat. Definitely can be setup for faster speeds. The novice course on saturday was an absolute blast. The car with mo...

Might not be racing in knox, but at least i'm racing
Currently up in Asheville, Nc on an engineering co-op. Found the local autox group and joined their club. They had a school yesterday, and a Test and Tune today. Ran pretty darn well considering the car I'm using. I was pretty much on par with the other muscle cars out on the field. Here are my resu...

Crap...if only this was the next weekend. Finally got my car fixed from the mishap a month ago, but I can't go to this event because of finals.

Holy crap. After watching that video, there's no way I could have attended and NOT be towed home. That's ridiculous.

Re: Well...won't be making it to the AutoX this Sunday....
Looks like most of your thought process on the car's handling is what I would think as well. Since you are going to Pull A Part to pick up the trans crossmember anyway, it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and pick up a lower control arm since they are probably cheap as well. You mentioned it is ...

Re: Well...won't be making it to the AutoX this Sunday....
On the crap stock suspension of a Mustang, you need as big a bar on the front and stiff as possible springs to basically keep the front wheels from moving. Barbaric indeed, but it's why see people needing to run 3-ish negative degrees static camber in the front. It's just the design of the front en...

Re: Well...won't be making it to the AutoX this Saturday....
I'm not an expert by any means, but I do consider myself to be somewhat intelligent when it comes to how a suspension is SUPPOSED to work. I like the rather technical side of things, but I've never done the hardcore research into roll centers, anti-dive, etc. Anyways, here's my opinion on the car's ...

Re: Well...won't be making it to the AutoX this Saturday....
It's not lowered. Stock front suspension and stock IRS rear. Yeah, the SN95 struts are longer, but the MM C/C plates pull them out the required distance to make everything right. If I lower the car, it won't be more than about an inch overall, and the C/C plates have spacers that just get stacked on...

Well...won't be making it to the AutoX this Sunday....
So, after getting my replacement strut yesterday, I decided to try to get the car fixed. Tore into it and found the extent of the damage. So far, the damage has been: Broken rim/tire Snapped the top of the strut off Bent up both the flat adjusting plate AND the mounting bolts on the caster/camber pl...
