Does the 93dB sound limit still apply at Pelli?

Re: Waiver table at local events

Yea it usually is there. We put it away because it was looking like rain. Anyone can come in, they just need to find someone who can grab the waiver to sign from the trailer. Well, that's the trick. He didn't know that, nor did the person he talked to, the one who was directing traffic at the paddo...

Waiver table at local events

Someone I know showed up at the event this weekend but couldn't get into the grid because he couldn't sign a waiver and get a wrist band. Shouldn't the waiver table stay in the paddock near the entrance for this sort of thing?

Re: 2023 ETRSCCA Schedule

You would need to count the best five minimum so someone who wins their class in five events always wins the class championship. But you could always have more. Not that it's likely to make a difference to me, but I think a double points event is a really bad idea.

Re: 2023 ETRSCCA Schedule

NC Region traditionally had a race at VIR on Mother's Day. I think the driving force was lower track rental fees. They don't have races there during the summer, only Spring and Fall.

Re: 2023 tires

I don't think I ever got the RT660's turned on last year. So I'm going with the Yokohama's this year. And I'm going with a 295 width on 18 inch rims rather than 315's on a 19 inch rim that I ran last year. I should have run 305's, but I don't think it would have helped that much.

Re: Suspension Question

Try jacking up one corner of the car to see if you can replicate the pop. Besides the sway bar, there are suspension arm bushings and ball joints that could have dried out.

Re: Formula SAE Team, Registration and Multiple Drivers

I've done sound at BMS in the past. If the drag strip is open, the sound from the dragsters frequently reads higher than the cars on the autocross course. And those aren't Top Fuel or Nitro Funny Cars. 10,000 plus horsepower makes a lot of noise. I suspect that when the Cup cars are running on the o...

Re: Suspension Question

How do i tell if theyre free? Raise the car and try to move them? Yes. Free means the springs aren't compressed at full droop. So they could potentially get cocked in the perches A pop can mean a bushing is binding and is moving in fits and starts as it's loaded and unloaded. I had rod ends stickin...

Re: Formula SAE Team, Registration and Multiple Drivers

Does our Formula SAE car and Shifter Kart need to comply with the SCCA SOLO sound requirement? Our car complies with the FSAE rules max sound level of 103 dBC at idle and 110 dBC at all other speeds; however, this is higher than the SCCA max sound level of 100 dBC. I am not sure what the sound leve...

Re: July 17 adding an auto cross

I can't find it on MSR. The EVO schools on 7/16 are there and the 7/24 event is there, but nothing but the cancelled duel cross is there for 7/17.

They'll also have all the rest of the stickers you need to put on your car besides the TireRack banner.
