Re: Mopar event July 20th workers needed

If I'm not vacationing somewhere I will help. About 80% chance I'll be there.

Re: Need volunteers for novice helpers

When I'm not working Safety I can help. And I think Kieran has enough experience that he can help, too.

Re: Zmax

Brian, last year it was Easter weekend, I think. This year it's March so no holiday problem (Easter is 21 April). But that doesn't matter anymore since it's filled with a waitlist.

Re: Tri-Cities Potential Spots

Kingsport KMart will be closing, too. It's only ~400' x 400', though, with a separate lot for paddock and grid. The Johnson City store lot would be significantly bigger.

Re: What adjustment do you make?

I'd guess a combo of Pilson's/Plaster's advice with Ted's will help. Being less-smooth on corner entry will disrupt the rear and reduce push, but it's something you'd need to practice. Think about how you slalomed the CRX and use that kind of input for the entry into corners. Tweaking the rear press...

Re: Today

Moving beyond the course discussion, let's talk about course-working. I had three consecutive runs where I yelled for course workers to check a cone in the offset before the slalom. I stopped the last time to get them moving on it. They apparently called it in like there was nothing wrong. That's no...

I fly back too late on Friday to make it for Saturday. I think I'll hit GoPro instead that weekend if it's nice.

Re: Today

I agree that walking the course I wasn't enamored of it. But driving it, especially in the Miotter, was a ton of fun! The kart was just too loose and the tires too old to get good times.

Paul, I'll take the tires and strut tower bars for $350! If they're all still available.

I've heard that two more days isn't going to happen for staff and chief reasons, thus my ideas for extending the four days they have.

Re: 2018 Nationals

Steve, to the contrary I think there would be more time for socializing and fun rather than less. Up to 100' tall light towers are available with relatively few actually needed to simulate late afternoon/early evening light. It would give the organizers much more leeway to work around adverse condit...
