Re: WTB Cheap GoPro

I got one of the cheapo Chinese knockoffs in 4K for $60. Absolutely gorgeous videos in 4K and 1080P. This is my second knockoff and I also have had two GoPros, the original Hero 1 and I won the 3+ Black at 2014 Nats. That 3+ is really nice and I still use it, but that 4K cheapo is great. We use both...

Thanks for the reminder, all. I'm proud to say that I've registered Kieran as my co-driver for the first time ever!

Bumping for all the parents with 5-8 year-olds who want to start karting. This is the complete package, ready to roll in JC. Be the parent you wish you'd had when you were a kid!

Re: Spec tire for ssc

I think folks underestimate the fun characteristics of the twins already. Mine is fun with the all-season Prius tires on it or the RE-71R or Hankook RS-4 or Rival S. If you're a math racer, I guess PAX could be a concern, but it's a spec class so everyone will be on the same stuff. Some will like th...

Re: Spec tire for ssc

I think these are excellent for road racing (LeMons, etc) so I'd be surprised if they're excellent for autox. They should be excellent for longevity at least. But as long as everyone in the class is on the same tire, what difference does it make? It's a spec class.

Re: Now that 2017 is in the book what upgrades are folks planning for 2018?

The main thing I'm doing is trying to bulk up Kieran so our weight difference is as small as possible so I don't have to add a bunch of weight to the kart for him. Then re-corner-weighting the kart so it will work for both of us. I might open the cylinder to make sure it looks OK, but have no plans ...

Re: helmet size and car numbers.

I'll just add that you'll want to make sure it's a SA2010 (or SA2015 if you're buying new). Need the SA helmet for track days I believe.

Re: What are your best/most memorable autocross moments? Version II

My favorite is from Summer Nationals at Blytheville 2013 when Kieran was on his A-game. During the Tour, with its long and exceptionally fast courses, I got the gearing right and Kieran pushed the kart hard. He improved every run and the announcer kept the energy up every time Kieran finished with y...

It's the one posted above by Joey. Address is something around 3019 Peoples St, Johnson City, TN 37604.

I did not notice any phone numbers but can look this weekend if I venture down that way.

Re: Tri-Cities Potential Spots

Has anyone tried to talk to any Kmart folks? The Johnson City store is closed and the lot is in pretty great shape. Few lights and the surface is pretty smooth (coming from a kart driver mind you). We could have some pretty good courses on it.
