Re: Brand new Rival-S 205/50R15

Alright, tires are dismounted and ready to sell. Last call on these today before I just return them to tire rack.

I can probably sell 2 of them and return 2, private message me for that too. :D

Re: Brand new Rival-S 205/50R15

Bump, my replacement tires are coming in today. If I can't sell them, I'll return them to tirerack and eat the return shipping.

Steve, if you do want to buy two, I may be able to send two back and at least halve my shipping. Just need to wait and see if anyone wants the whole set first.

Brand new Rival-S 205/50R15

Long story short, I bought these after being told they'd be good for HPDEs, then found out they'd only be good if I don't mind melting them in 0.5 seconds. They have not been driven on at all (actually, I don't even get the order from tirerack in until Monday.) I can offer someone a pretty good deal...

Re: Lenoir City Cars and Coffee

I missed it, how was it? I would have gone, but I wasn't in town. Would have loved to see your stingray if you brought it, I love corvettes. I actually like the LC one the best, because it's smaller and less crowded. I find it much easier to talk to a car's owner, and some of the guys in the area ha...

Re: Cheap places to store a trailer?

Uhaul RV/vehicle storage is as cheap as it gets, it's an outdoor RV-size parking space where you can park whatever you want. I don't remember how much it was, but i thought it was like 10 or 15 bucks a month.

For miata guys: motor removal writeup

I found a couple of writeups on engine removal, and the haynes manual of course, but they all glossed over some things, especially wire and vacuum line locations. I wrote up my second engine removal and took as many pictures as I could. I know it's old hat for a lot of guys on this forum, and not al...

Re: Renting a tow vehicle?

In all seriousness, suburban seems like the way to go, even though if you were truly a cool kid, you'd appreciate the beauty that is a conversion van.

Re: Renting a tow vehicle?

And probably purple stripes! With regards to the 4runner thing, you could also check out expeditions, they're f-150-based. It really depends on how far you're towing, in my opinion. If I got the v8 4runner, especially 2wd to cut some weight, with the factory tow package so it has the transmission co...

Re: Renting a tow vehicle?

Another thing you could look at, if being an eyesore isn't a problem, is an old conversion van. They made them into the early 2000's and they're dirt cheap. Sure, the gas mileage is horrible and they're pretty ugly, but they'll pull a trailer like a champ.

Re: Lets talk racing seats

I don't want to be debbie downer, guys, but those aluminum seats without a back brace are a total death trap. I'm trying to find the pictures a spec miata guy posted, and failing, but post-crash even with a brace, those things still fold like noodles. I really wanted to take a cheap way out and get ...
