Re: Car classing for October 9 event

Thanks for the link! Turns out they’ve already classified the Kia Stinger which is the same car except for styling. Looks like I’ll be in STU with the CAI.

Car classing for October 9 event

I plan to come to the October 9 event in Bristol, but need help classing my car. I have a 2022 Genesis G70 3.3t AWD with an after market cold air intake. I think if it were stock it would be G Stock, but with the intake...?? I see there are several new classes since I last raced, e.g. STU, STM, etc....

Re: Is this the proper place to ask about car classification

I have a class question as well. It's been a few years since I've done this and things have apparently quite a bit. I have a 96 Miata that is bone stock except for coilovers. I will run on R compounds. What are my class options these days?

*sigh* That's what I thought, but I thought I'd ask anyway. That's a good deal on a good bar though. If I weren't working on bigger plans with my car, I'd snatch it up in a hurry, but chances are in the not too distant future I'll be needing an approved bar.

I think I already know the answer to this question, but I'll ask anyway. Is that bar "approved" by the SCCA and/or any other sanctioning bodies?

Bleh, looks like an overgrown Z3 Coup...
I was thinking the same thing, but ya know what...I'd still drive it, and like it too, I'm sure.

If you run 421, make sure you run the second half, past the Country Store. It's ALMOST Dragon-like. The second half is much better than the first half, except the pavement isn't as new.

I have a spreadsheet that someone made (with WAY more suspension knowledge than me) that talks about things like "roll couple," spring rates and bar sizes. All of the pre-loaded info is for Miatas, but all you need to enter to make it fit your application are the rates and bar thicknesses....

They didn't all come with one, but it was optional. For a way to ID one from eyeballing it, follow this link: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/242583/3

Check the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pics from the bottoom of the page.

I actually have a lead on one, friend of a friend. I've kept in under my hat as I know there is a demand for them from time to time. Shoot me a PM with contact info and I'll make sure it's still around and get some specifics for you. Seems like I remember him saying it was some sort of limited editi...
