Re: Best place to buy 315s
I've had good luck with simpletire the past few years. My only problem I ever had with them was when I bought some super cheap R888's and they ended up being 7 years old (they gave me even more money back after I sent the date codes to them). They usually have free shipping, the cheapest prices, as ...

Re: Looking for tires for a C5Z
No its not Dewitt but I don't care what tire rack says, I have run them on 11 and 12 inch rims and I KNOW which is better and it is the 11 no ifs ands or buts about it. With seeing everyone at the pointy end stretching hoosiers these days, I've always kind of wondered if your car would be faster on...

Re: Spec tire for ssc
I seem to remember Andy Hollis posting something about these being the same compound as a Z2 Star Spec (owned by same parent company afterall). Apparently they had GRM do a test on which one of them performed better. The older Dunlop did despite being the same tire underneath. They never published i...

Going to sell any parts off of it or selling it as is in full STS-trim? I can't remember what all your car has, but might be interested in certain things if you have them. Does that car have a big splined ASR rear bar?

FS: STS wheel/tire package.
15x7.5 +40 Rota Slipstreams and 205/50/15 RE71R's. Wheels have a paint chip or 2 flaking off but otherwise aren't in bad ship. No cracks or bends. Tires are around 70% tread. I've probably put 600 street miles on them and one autocross. Not sure how many miles or autocrosses Walter did on them, but ...

if you needed a cheapo passenger seat, I'd sell my spare kirkey 39 pretty cheap. 17" wide. No cover.

Re: spring rate
Are bump stops really going to make a lick of difference on these cars? How much is the suspension even going to compress with a 600 lbs or heavier spring on a sub-2200 lbs car?

Re: STM tire rule.
Would a really light car like a Locost heat up tires like that as well? I don't think a 15x10/245 VR1 combo would really be as grippy or get up to temp as fast a 15x9/225 Rival S.

Re: STM tire rule.
I don't think anyone makes a 140TW ST tire anymore. Federal quit making the RSR, everyone thought their new RSRR would still be 140, but it was 200 when it came out. Bridgestone still has leftovers of it's old 140tw RE70's out on tire rack but that's not going to be competitive. Same with Kumho's ol...

Re: My Amod is going away now with pic of new car
If you are sticking with street tires then can you not move up to a 25" tall tire on a 17" wheel? A 255 wide Rival S or RE71R will definitely be better than the 225 offerings. The cg rise is small compared to what you will gain in tire contact area. That's a pretty substantial weight incr...

Anyone find a tire pressure gauge like this? http://pitstopusa.com/i-5057741-quickcar-0-60-psi-liquid-filled-tire-pressure-gauge.html http://pitstopusa.com/images/F14587563.jpg I seemed to have lost it at some point. Seriously, is there a lost and found or something? Did anyone find one of these?

Re: Event #11 Sound "Hall of Shame"
I would like to know what I got Walter's car down to. STM 55. Like I said at the event, it was louder than hell when I got it and I think I've made it about as quiet as I can while retaining any kind of free flowing exhaust. BTW, this is with 2 glasspacks of varying lengths and a round Dynomax (glor...

Thanks. I appreciate it. When I originally tried to register on motorsportreg with 55, it said someone had reserved it.
