Re: Shipping an engine

Cool. It is an old flat 4 from a '67 Porsche so it will sit nice on the pallet. I'll probably just ratchet strap it on, and wrap in a few trash bags and packing tape just to keep things together.

Thanks for the input.

Shipping an engine

So I am shipping an engine across the country and have to packag it up. Do most people just strap it to a pallet or should it be crated?

I was thinking just strap it to a pallet.

Where can I get that industrial type strapping/banding?

Borescope?

Anybody have a borescope?
I need to take a look in a cylinder to try and figure out what pistons I have.

Should only take a minute.

WTB -old 911 parts or parts car

Anybody know of a an old 911 in a basement or garage somewhere? Maybe sitting behind someone's house?
I'm looking for some parts, or maybe even a parts car.
Let me know if you know of any sitting around somewhere.

Thanks,

Re: 1970 2002 bmw

hahah, No rust?? hahahahhahah I've had two of these cars, and I would put money on the floor pan near the pedal box, rockers, and possibly the spare tire well to be rusty. Unless it is not a native southern or eastern car, or somebody already repaired it. I will say they are fun, and somebody should...
