Trailer position worked fine for us. I was worried we wouldn't be able to make the cars out at the finish (to make sure who we think is finishing is actually who's finishing) but it wasn't an issue... much more important to be able to see the start well.
I thought the course was really good for Smokies... no nasty pinch turns and it flowed well. I just wish I hadn't had 320 TW, six year old all season tires on the old Miata. ;) Speaking of that, Jess seemed to enjoy driving the Miata. If anyone has or sees a good deal on some used RE-71s in 15" that...
