Re: 2017 Ford dually

When did they start using the 6.7? Around 2010? Any big differences in the 6.7 over the years?

I added some stuff. Feel free to un-add anything that's too weird ;)

Oh, and the one explicit one I added, I've yet to figure out what the explicit part is...

Re: New Wheel Reconmendations

Forgestars response to anything other than a perfect wheel is that it was damaged after it left the factory. That’s what they told my vendor.

Re: New Wheel Reconmendations

My wheels and Kristo’s are F14s. My opinion of Sam is that he’s a good guy with good knowledge and wants to help. His bedside manner could use some polishing, and I think as a small business owner he’s justifiably burned by a lot of people taking advantage of his experience without buying from him. ...

Re: New Wheel Reconmendations

Here’s the deal if you buy Forgestars: As with any wheel, once they’ve had tires mounted, you’re SOL. Strano and every other vendor will blame the tire shop for any problem with the wheels at that point. I got lucky and Kristo told me about his issue the night before I was going to have mine mounted...

Re: Worker list for Mopar Nation this Sat

There is a max number of runs per car that AXware can handle. I think it is 20, but don't hold me to that.

As far as I know, Brian has the laptops.

Get a 4 door of some sort. Trust me, you’re gonna really hate a 2 door if you’re dealing with child seats on a regular basis.

Re: March 29-31 zMax Match Tour

Remind me about caster... I thought you wanted as much as possible positive caster (while still reaching the camber setting you want) in order to maximize camber gain (or minimize camber loss) while turning. This is at the expense of steering effort, which doesn't matter much with power steering. Am...

Re: Trailer Sway/Leveling Hitch Info

Thanks for the info so far guys! I'm bumping this back up since all the trailer haulers are back in town from last weekend's Tour. So far, from my reading, it looks like its better to get one that has the anti-sway built into the weight distribution part. Usually these do not have chains at the back...

Re: Trailer Sway/Leveling Hitch Info

I should probably also mention that I'll probably be towing this rig on a long trip once a year on average... so, I need something that works well but not necessarily the Cadillac solution. I am willing to pay more if a solution is less of a pain in the rear that others though (don't want some janky...

Trailer Sway/Leveling Hitch Info

I need to pick up a load leveling and sway control hitch to use with a 2500HD (8.1L) towing a 31' Airstream (~9000 lbs). I've towed a lot of boats and open car trailers in my time, but have never used a load level / sway control hitch. The truck tows the trailer around town and local highways fine, ...

Re: Regional 2 After-Action Discussion

I think the best thing we can do will be to require that all numbers be on the car for tech and have tech make sure they comply with the rules. If they don’t comply, tech informs them and they don’t run until tech OKs it. That will catch the majority without the need for dnfs or other harsh measures...

Re: Dixie National... the Official Thread.

Speaking of - you might want to see what Strano says about his Corvette. Something in the trans went wrong at Dixie and he had to put it on the trailer. It'll be interesting hear what happened from him. There is actually a worrying amount of stuff under the C6Z that a cone could potentially wreck (...
