Re: Car Class Help

I think it would fit into any of those classes. XP or SM if on Hoosiers. I would do CAM-C if you're running 200+ treadwear tires. CAM is becoming one of the biggest local classes. It's a lot of fun. Thanks John. Since we will be on street tires Cam-C might be the way to go. We'll be way outmatched ...

Hey Jeff.
The brand/model I can't recall but the tread wear was at 320 or 340 I think so we will definitely be on street tires or Cam class.
Looks like Cam-C might be the best fit for fun.

Car Class Help

Greg Wilson bought himself a 6-speed '04 Cadillac CTS-V with a tuned aftermarket Supercharger. Other mods include suspension upgrades, cat delete and some lighter aftermarket wheels. He's still getting a feel for it, but we plan to bring it along to an event eventually. So the question is ... Cam-C?...

Re: ETR #3 "Game of Cones"

G'day All, I was planning on having a co-driver this Sunday but he's pulled out. So ... I'm open to the possibility of a 2nd driver in the little blue '03 E-Street Miata this weekend if someone is missing a car, or has a car missing parts, or has a car that's missing street tires, or doesn't mind dr...

Re: Car Class Help Please

8.8? Yes 8.8. They are extracting it this week so I can send pictures once it's in hand if you want. Yeah that would be good. I'm about to swap transmissions and I may need a set of 4.10's. I'm on 3.73's right now. Hey Brian. I finally have that 8.8" rear end off of the car and sitting on a bo...

Re: Missed you Walter Jones!

I really enjoyed the course! Great variety. Perhaps running in the 2nd (dry) group helped :)

Re: Car Class Help Please

The '04 Mustang HAD the 4.10 gear but due to an issue with the diff housing leaking I'm switching to the 3.73 intentionally - partly for better daily driving and partly because I thought (possibly mistakenly but we'll see) that the 3.73 would be better suited to Autocross. After driving the car sev...

Re: Recruiting

grantw80, He can run Novice Class with an STF PAX, assuming his tires have a tread wear rating of 200 or greater. That's probably better than throwing him into the STM lion's den. You're exactly right Dewiit. It'll be his very first time. The tires I believe are 300 so yeah, he will ne NSTF. Thanks

Recruiting

Hi All,

I've convinced a mate of mine who has an 05 Civic Si (the CP3 style) to come get involved this weekend. I guess we missed the pre-rego cut-off but can he drive on up and register on the day or has there been reached a maximum?

Thanks

Re: Car Class Help Please

The TR3650 transmission that came in the mid-'01 to '04 Mustangs has a 2.00 second gear. That should work with a 3.73, depending on the tire size. With the stock 255/55/16 tires and a 6,000 RPM red line, the top speed in second would be 65 MPH. That's adequate for Pellissippi. Third is 1.33. That's...

Re: My kingdom for a seat

I would like someone better than myself to codrive my car as well, with that said, I won't be seeking a codriver for the next few events as the car is still being tuned. I would hate for someone else to vent the crankcase besides myself. Yeah fair enough too. I'd certainly never set out to break an...
