Well, I run Koni's so that'll be easy to drop into conversation. A bass boat :?: :o Ain't that a bit of a strech? Or is that for your proposed "tow vehicle class"?

I don't think I'm going to make it. I need to save my pennies. You never know, those 215/40/16's might show up. Heather even said it would be a good idea to buy tires each year right before Nationals and then run the regionals on them the following season. :D  I thought I was dreaming....

Awesome course! It didn't seem to favor any particular setup. Not to mention the overlap. Everybody got 6 runs and I was home in Johnson City before dark!

Kudos Chris. I'm gonna name my first wife after ya.

Hey Steve, shouldn't you change that sig? I think we know the Mustang isn't retired yet.

You should come out an auto-x if for no other reason than to meet other people that enjoy driving as much as you to. The community atmosphere is a big part of what makes it so much fun. I just started this year and can't describe how stoked I am to find a community like this. Guess that's a "ne...

I really appreciate all the input guys. The Saleen is listed in the rulebook in AS and in BSP. I just figured that the RTP index for STU would be more realistic for this car on street tires. I'm just tryin' to think of arguments I can use to convince him to come out. I know once he's experienced it,...

Configuration-wise, the car is just as it rolled out of the Saleen shop. N/A 5.0, all the bracing and handling bits, and I think the diff gear is changed too. Honestly, I don't think it matters either since I'd encourage him to be classed as a novice anyway. He just wants to be competitive. Don't wo...

Classing question

I have a friend that I'm trying to convince to come auto-xing. He drives an '87 Saleen Mustang on street tires. His problem is that he's afraid he'll be competing against people with WAY better prepared cars and better tires and won't enjoy that. The question I have is would it be possible for that ...

I'm tryin' to decide between the Hankooks and the Azenis Sport. By the numbers, they look comparable but I wouldn't mind hearing some opinions of people that have used 'em. Everything else being equal, I'm leaning towards the Falkens just because of price.

I enjoyed the course. A good one challenges your weaknesses (OK, so I've got more of those than most). I also enjoyed having 3 run groups. Nice to just sit back and enjoy watching a group run. I'm looking forward to Rockwood.

You don't need to have a fast car or be a particularly good driver to have fun (I'm proof of that). Just come out and have a blast! After my first event, I was hooked like a junkie.

Come... Join the Dark Side...

That lot has a pretty good grade to it but I agree, a huge lot that would be great. The last time I was over there, there were about a dozen trucks parked there though. Any idea on who owns it?
