Re: ETR #3 is in the books!

Just so everybody knows, I made it home without incident. Big thanks to Mark P. for giving me a ride to get bolts. Also big thanks to Ted for hanging around so I wouldn't be laying in the parking lot alone. Good folks. That's why ETR is special.

Re: Possible place in Elizabethton

Yeah, that's the Bosch plant. IIRC the lot is about 250'x250' and there isn't much in the way of paddock or grid space.

Re: Collector car insurance

I've got State Farm. I've had several claims and never been anything but satisfied. I inherited one policy from my dad that dates back to 1971. The discount on that policy is up to 40%. Heck, I don't even remember the last time my rates changed anywhere but downward.

Re: Possible place in Elizabethton

I can tell ya from first-hand experience that lot isn't nearly big enough. You might be able to squeeze in a decent course but there would be nowhere to paddock or grid.

Falken probably still does. As far as gearing goes, it's probably the best option. As for grip...

As long as we're in different heats, I can cover that.

Re: tire size question

Seanan's a pretty good driver. He could drive right around the limited tire selection of 16" wheels. Toyo does make a 225/45/16. I think Hankook does too. On the positive side, you shouldn't have to worry about running out of revs in 2nd. Yeah, but you'd have to down-shift to first at nearly e...

Re: tire size question

The RE-11 is available in a 205/45/16. That's not too terribly tall but it'll still be a gearing disadvantage.

But... but... How does the top come down?

Seriously, other than the bumpers, I like these cars.

Re: Dixie Day 1 stuff

Looks like JB and Darby will finish the day 2 & 3 in STS.
Seems Rife and Aaron can't stay out of the cones.
And Tracy & Stanford fall to 4 & 5 in ST at end of 3rd runs.
