Nice bit of thread drift! Anyway I don't know who it was I met in L.A from the Focus group, young guy with some professional looking camera gear. I thought he was an official photographer until he mentioned the connection. I'm now just south of Auckland and I'm driving around in my old girl a 1979 T...

Somehow this whole thread needs to be bound up in a book or something. Ian, thanks for sharing with us. Here ya go: Current PDF of this thread (its about 10 Meg) I kind of wish that had been the end Dave. Looks like there's one more update to add... Sorry about this, just when I thought it was over...

You guys are bookmarked, so there'll be no escaping frequent attention. Actually I'm in the Airport right now waiting to fly out. Had an interesting day, worthy of a small epilogue. BTW Michael when I was at the Toys for Tots day someone who was part of a Ford Focus forum came up to me and said he k...

So we left of with the car back on the road and me clutching the winning numbers for the Lottery. “I don’t [insert appropriate expletive] believe it” Four or five words I’ve found myself uttering with increasing regularity over the last few days. It was to be no different today… Up nice and early, I was at track by 7:30am, visibility was only a couple of car lengths but the sun would hopefully s...

The start of another overdue update and I’ve got a lot of typing to do! We left off on Saturday, still stuck in Flagstaff, AZ. But with some hope of getting rolling on Monday thanks to Brian in L.A who having read about my plight kindly offered to send out a tripod joint which would hopefully fit th...

And one more showing what happens when things go wrong. I've got to laugh at the commentator when he mentions that the tires saved him. If they hadn't of been there to begin with he'd have probably been ok!

Not sure I'd want to enter my Elise in this, but here's a vid of an Elise racing series in Australia.

http://www.auckland.ac.nz/ Tuition is 23,000 a year for the graduate ME program and lasts 1.5 years. Is everything still in order to get back on the road Monday? The part is on it's way and I should have it tomorrow morning. I just hope it's the right part! I'm on tender hooks hoping nothing will g...

600 miles is the official break in period. I'm prepared to accept the job, since I'm in the States and seem to have some time on my hands at the moment :( Unless anyone else has got more than 62,000 miles of Elise ownership under there belt :P

The bodywork will be fine. I've hit a few cones in my time at 60mph+ and nothing. But without bumpers you definately don't want to be hit by someone since the whole clam will often need replacing. Be careful parking quite a few have been damaged in parking lots.

Great choice, welcome fellow Elise owner!

www.elisetalk.com is the biggest US based Elise forum - although right now it's down for maintenence. You'll also find links to companies offering lots of aftermarket stuff - including cup holders :)

I know what you mean Micheal. Todays edition coming your way now. Oh boy, what a day…. Arrived at the garage this morning to find the half shaft out of the car. The head mechanic told me we had a big problem. He couldn’t fit the new half shaft into the car – not surprising since mine is a custom Hon...
