Re: National events whose going

Dixie is a pretty fun environment. Charlotte is a nice site and close. The surface is weird. Event Fri/Sat. We know Bristol. Blytheville is fun. Get to try a Pro. Surface is weird. Lincoln is fun, but obviously a super long drive. Peru is probably my least favorite national site. It is still fun wit...

Re: 2019 Season Changes

The Race Ramps are super nice for checking sway bar fasteners and things of that nature, too.

Re: Are you using data and video?

The RaceCapture stuff is 15% off over the weekend. Still deciding if that is something that would be of value to me.

Re: 2019 pax

I just looked up Falkens at Tire Rack. The Azenis RT615K+ might actually be a decent tire. The CAM size, the largest they make, would be 315/30/18. It has a load range of 98W and a max load of 1653 lbs. Compare that to the 315/30/18 BFG Rival S with a load range of 91W and a max load of 1356lbs. Ev...

fiberglass doors and lift-off front clip.
hopefully to the tune of 500lbs weight loss. The doors weigh 17lb each and the front clip is 25lb.
Different dampers and maybe an aluminum flywheel/dual plate clutch.

thats bout it.
I'm actually pretty excited to see that. 8)

Re: 2019 pax

Steve, it depends on what classes those national champions are in as we all know pax is a skewed number and yea he could pax them if their pax is a high number. Everybody fast in southern cal, regardless of their car of choice. You can't honestly believe that a 2950 lb rwd car with almost limitless...

Re: 2019 pax

Steve, the whole point is.. pax is or SHOULD be derived from history.. there should not be anyone to blame.. thats the only data we have.. history. future tense is not DATA. It is a defined as a theoretical performance measure. I agree that it makes it inherently flawed, but running it solely off l...

Re: 2019 pax

Mark, John Crouse's Malibu that runs CAM-T in Charlotte is a C5 Z06 underneath, built with no regard to weight. Strictly speaking, it's a 1964 Chevelle. Or at least that's what it said in the only 2018 CCR event that he entered, as far as I can tell. And it wasn't fast. You have to match the wheelb...

Re: 2019 pax

I don't see that CAM-C will ever be faster than a properly prepared and driven AS Corvette. Yet the AS PAX is lower than the CAM-C PAX. Suspension and tires can only do so much against a lighter car with a lower center of gravity and similar power to weight. For that matter, CAM-C has never been al...
