Re: 2019 solo nationals

For Steve and Chris... where to run? I didn't feel unprepared for the west side and I ran locals and travelled to some national stuff. Maybe you guys got used to zmax? Our Bristol events typically have semi-fast to fast sweepers and some offsets. For concrete experience, you know I like Peru. For m...

Re: 2019 solo nationals

Luster was magnificent with the throttle, by the way. I bet a lot of AS probably used a lot more throttle and went a lot slower.

Re: 2019 solo nationals

Busy is subjective, but I kind of thought that was the idea behind autocross. High density inputs, precision driving, and all that... The thing with that is if you run what we often get at Bristol, or maybe at Dixie or Peru, is that many of the offsets are so open that setting up for turns or backsi...

Re: 2019 solo nationals

I don't feel like I ran much of anything all year that requires you to consistently place the car the way you did at nationals.

Grip is whatever. This hopefully will change, but I didn't have much in the way of viable options as far as adjustments this year.

Re: 2019 solo nationals

Harp got me curious and found Cody Hunt in SSR. He was 100% at 6 places and flirted with it several more times. Get a Corvette!

CAMC runner up was 100% more than that. Might have been 100% more than me.

Re: 2019 solo nationals

Also, for those that are trying to go to these and do well in the future, what are you planning to get the best seat time?

Regardless of our vision of what a course should be, I'm not sure Bristol has the shape and surface to prepare us for Lincoln style courses.

Re: 2019 solo nationals

The chairs and the chiefs and the staff were great. I worked in the timing trailer 5th heat Tuesday and even after a long day of junior karts and delays and equipment problems and no a/c, the staff had a really positive attitude. And that was really across the board. Courses? Speeds were lower than ...

Re: 2019 solo rules

On that note.... I recommend that anyone going to nationals give the rules a read, especially regarding event operations. Know what you are entitled to as far as time between runs (including reruns), mechanicals, the posting of results, and corner sheets between runs. Know the provisional run proces...

WTB: Take-off 225/45/17 Rival S 1.5's or RE71R's

Only looking for something to play with for a couple of events at the end of the year, so not looking to spend much.

Let me know if you have anything.

Re: Close out 2019 events

I like the TnT course but I might be a little biased. [emoji16] We could do that and do something different at the start to the fence. We would probably want Brian's GPS. On the other hand, that might give an advantage to people that have run the TnT previously and with points on the line, that mig...

Solo Nationals - Pro Finale - Tier 3 entrants likely getting in

There are 300 slots (not counting Junior Karts). I calculated 315 people that are Tier 1 or Tier 2 eligible, which is a smaller number than the past few years. Tier 1 opened last week and a few people didn't sign up. I personally know of a handful of Tier 2 people that don't plan on going. What that...
