9/22 Bristol Event Video (the slow Italian car)
ETR #10 was a shakedown after having gone through some well overdue maintenance on my new-to-me Gallardo. Still chasing some hesitation that's likely due to either VVT valves/solenoids or some pre-cat emissions pipes getting clogged. TBD on that, but I had a great time regardless. I vlogged my way t...

Re: Sept. 22nd last event
I haven't been out in a while so thanks for a good time as always. Always fun to see/talk to everyone. I'll try not to be such a stranger next season

Re: Harness and harness bar
Supplementing Mark's link, Schroth also has some general instructions in a "race harness installation guide" PDF https://www.schroth.com/en/segments/racing/service/installation-instructions.html The big thing to pay attention to is the mounting angle for the shoulders so as to avoid spinal...

Re: Regional 2 After-Action Discussion
Great event. Thanks for a "warm" welcome back after like 9 months of domestic projects and fixing the car. I hope to be less of a stranger this season. Since it's the hot topic; I was probably an offender (this time) on the class/number markings. I had just left some vinyl numbers on the s...

Re: Pic/Video Request: Old Augusta International Raceway
Yeah, I had no idea it was there until I took it upon myself to map every road course in the world (only U.S. and Canada actually done so far).
Given it's age, it seems I'm unlikely to find any in-car video of any kind, but it seems there is a historic society so maybe I'll give them a yell.

Pic/Video Request: Old Augusta International Raceway
Hi folks, Do any of our veteran members have video/photos from the now closed/built-over Augusta International Raceway? If so I'd like to borrow/license them to digitize (if needed) and use on YouTube alongside my own content. Please let me know on here, or drop me a note on Facebook. The only need ...

Local domestic shop that doesn't suck?
Big "recommendation thread" isn't very specific on this point and search didn't yield anything although I'm sure it's been discussed. Short version: '99 mountaineer likely needs a fuel pump (some troubleshooting pending), and I don't have time to DIY. Any shops around here who would do tha...

Re: Worst Cars For Inexperienced Drivers
List does not contain an MR2 Turbo, list is invalid. Snap oversteer is real. In hindsight, my parents were nuts for that one even though the car was pretty cheap...but we both survived (car and me). I credit being a square and autocross for not having ended up upside-down on a road somewhere.

Re: So, I wrote a letter.
A CAM like class would be a bit more restrictive than STM. Sean's Sawzall special wouldn't qualify, but a lot of others would. The main things would be that you couldn't gut the interior, no wings and the car would have to be licensed and insured. Yeah, reading the CAM rules if you removed "do...

Re: So, I wrote a letter.
End of the story: #22205 Please find the [vintage NSX a class between stock and ASP, rec STR] The STAC would like to thank you for your input but does not recommend classing this car in the ST category. Regions are allowed to class cars as they see fit for local/regional competition. I'm always torn...

Re-Bump, make me sensible offers. If I can't "give" them away I'll just use them but would rather sell and switch back to street tires for coming season.
