Re: Event 6 check in

Might be a good day for the Miotter instead of the kart. But the forecast has lots of time to improve before then. your intake is behind the motor. I thought that would help shelter it better than mine that points at the front tire. :P  " I went to Bristol Motor Speedway and a jetski race brok...

Re: Event 6 check in

By the way, I do plan to be there for sound. I have some ideas for running sound with the chance of rain, so y'all keep those mufflers on the car.

Re: Chilhowee Park

I believe we can run there but the need for the water filled barriers complicate things. If someone has an in with barricade supplier that will do what they say they will, when they say they will at a cost effective price, then our chances of running there would be better.

Re: Toledo Pro

Apparently Chrysler is starting to park cars there again. Hopefully it doesn't encroach on our area too much. Y'all might not wanna paddock too close to them Jeeps. They let em sit and age to see which ones don't burst into flames before selling them to the public. Flaming Jeeps WTF?? following. (j...

Re: WTB cheap, reliable daily beater

It is confirmed the Altima sucked parts of the precat back into the motor. I definitely will do a leak down test and inspect with boroscope any motor before I put it in. It's an automatic so it supposed to be easier to pull it out the top and leave the trans I car. Just push torque converter back.

Re: WTB cheap, reliable daily beater

Altima is a 2002. Compression test gave 0,0,70,20 psi. Leakdown test with line pressure at 90psi, regulator wide open but the flow lost was too much to let it get to 100psi, cylinder gauge was at 0 to 10psi and with hose going into cylinder 4, air was coming out spark plugs and 1. Cylinder 2 and 3 w...

Re: WTB cheap, reliable daily beater

Doh! Cody just picked up a 2003 Protege5 5spd with 157k on the clock. The Altima driver needs to be automatic. It looks like it sucked the precat back into the motor. Looking like a JDM motor swap for $600-800 is gonna happen to it.

Thanks tho

Re: WTB cheap, reliable daily beater

Neon replaced with Protege5. Still trying to figure out an 02 Altima that may be blowed up or bad sensors.

Anyone want a "Some assembly required" kick-@ss rallyX Neon?

Re: June 2nd smokies event

would i need PPE other than a helmet? Yup. Long abrasion resistant pants. Jeans are thought to be abrasion resistant. Abrasion resistant jacket covering torso and arms. Gloves, closed toe shoes. . The seat fits me snug. And just remembered the exhaust is kinda close to the back of the seat so no fl...

Re: June 2nd smokies event

Unless i can get a co-drive, im out for this weekend as well. wuss.. I ran sound without running the event earlier this year because FCA couldn't fix my POS van with 11K miles on it. But, since I drove to one event in the last 6 months there isn't a problem with it, other than their own customer ca...

Re: Do you need a Big Wáng?

Can you provide analysis for multiple element wangs that would be used for a FSAE car? I know one that needs some vertical down force assistance, front and rear. But then they are in the envelope of beggars.
