" I believe I can FLY!!!" sigh... guess nobody will buy the ole shifter kart once they realize I drive it like I stole it... such awesome cheap thrills. Dana made me drag the ole thing out and go have some fun. Glad I did! Also glad I had an assortment of pliers looking instruments to help fix a bra...

Re: Realotor?

For everyone's reading pleasure, the Knox County municode I seem to have lost the link to the proposed change to the code for 2018 that would "simplify" the above. Will see if I can dig it out later. About the grass: Technically from the house to the road and perhaps a perimeter around the house nee...

Re: Realotor?

If a car has a flat tire, it's in-operable. If you have more than one inoperable or tags not up to date they will be subject to be towed. If you have a drag car, with drag slicks without up to date tags on a trailer behind a pickup truck (uh, it's a caged race car that never will be driven on the st...

Re: Club Training, need a conference room for 1 hour

When I corner captained in the past I would ask folks their experience if I don't know. Give them a quick rundown and ask if they have any questions. A laminated sheet on the cooler would help cover the high points. And in the words of Gunny "the word of the day is HUSTLE!! Stay alert, watch the car...

Re: Help Wanted At The Race Track

Depends what track the event is at. Service area is from Summit Point to Homestead-Miami Speedway and West to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham with everything between. General weekend would be: leave Maryville Thursday in time to park the rig at the track Thursday evening. Set up canopy, tire m...

Need a new sound control chief

I had planned to make all the local events this year. Life still has other plans. Someone who can make events and setup the meter when needed, is needed. The hardest part of the job is reading the class and numbers of cars on course of drivers who think the rules on letter-number sizing and contrast...
