I drove the dragon on my very first trip to Knoxville in 1995 when the co. flew me in to decide if I wanted to live here. Wife and I rented a Grand AM GT and took a look at the map. 129 looked pretty cool, so we drove 411 and down along the lake, then back from NC over the parkway. I remember being ...

any sport/hobby can be taken to extremes. Thing is, adding internal combustion pretty much increases the exponential component of the cost curve by an order of magnitude or two. That said: I bought my spec Neon for $2900. With 6 point cage, corbeau seats, Koni/eibachs, 8 extra wheels, spare tranny, ...

~370 RWHP This thing does everything the truck did, but better. I can't wait to see what it will do on course. It's good for a low to mid 12 seconds in the 1/4. I took two of my sons, and two of their friends, to one of the late fall P-sipi events. They all rode along with a couple of my friends, with no issue. Two of them were below 18.
Inconsistency in rules application/enforcement is such a pain.

Repeat: the lots are owned by Chilhowie Park, not the Zoo. If you want to use them, you have to get the park manager's permission. Chilhowie makes money for the city, so they expect renumeration. Honda Hoot, gun shows, county fair, etc. all use the place.

This is an awesome effort. I will help in any way possible. Ideas: An argument that could be used against the "codgers": K25 was basically a factory, albeit an important one. The only people in entire world who think of it as a historic site are people who worked there and in the vicinity....

Closer to home, up on Buffalo mountain in Oliver Springs, below the wind farm, is a 2000' drop ridge covered with snaky, steep downhill mtb trails. The place is a lot steeper and sicker than this video can depict, but take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lbpq5uXhY8 The wing suit stuff looks ...
