I need to borrow a helmet this weekend
I'm signed up for the MSF course to get my motorcycle license this weekend at Smokey mountain HD. Unfortunately I'm moving to Texas in two weeks and I loaded my bike along with all my helmets on a U-Haul headed for Texas last weekend. If anyone has a DOT approved helmet that I could rent or borrow f...

Re: What car advice thread.
Found several E36 cars close enough that I could stretch the budget to buy it. Just wouldn't be able to go through the suspension and stuff right away. Still have to budget replacing the cooling system however.
I think I'm looking for an E36 though, so thanks.

Re: What car advice thread.
After looking around on CL the E36 and E30 are priced very similarly. Having never driven either I would imagine the E30 to be lighter. Would a E30 325i be faster than an E36?
Personally I'd lean towards an E36 because I perceive it to be a much more modern car. Is that really the case?

Re: What car advice thread.
It's Rife 2.0! haha So what's wrong with Hondas? I've managed to make it this far in life without ever owning one. Just like Microsoft Honda is of the Devil. Some prejudices I just can't get over. I've actually been wavering a bit on my usual rigid anti Honda stance lately. Hell I may just say to h...

Re: What car advice thread.
Nah, no love at all for them. I did a ride along in one on r compounds once. Very impressive, thought it was going to rip my head off. The other part of this equation is this car is also going to be my daily driver. It's gotta be something I like. I just don't like Miatas. If I had the money I'd be ...

Re: What car advice thread.
Went and sat in a bunch of different Miata's the other day and they are out. No spark at all. I've got to at least like the car a little bit. With the possibility of new rules coming I wonder what will happen to the older cars.
I'm still thinking along the lines of ZX2, Protege, Escort GT or ???

Renewing my SCCA membership
I've looked around on the SCCA site but all I can find is info on becoming a new member.
Is there any way to renew an old membership? It's been several years since it was active.

TIre question
I'm going to be running in MR and I am looking for some tire advice from people who have ran in the soil type we'll have at the Redneck resort. Currently I'm limited to 13" wheels. I have a selection of winter tires available but only in a 175mm tread width. I'm worried that will be a disadvant...

Re: Looking for #4 magnet from #1
The nine came off right out of the gate and ended up at station one, twice. No clue where #4 went.
