Re: Test and Tune / Points Event #1
The test and tune was really fun, Connor and I got @ 8 runs each Saturday, he is totally hooked, and was 1 sec faster than me . This was the first real pressure-test of the 20yr old 325i we bought in Dec, and unfortunately we sprung a radiator leak Saturday mid afternoon, so had to miss Sunday. But ...

Re: Test and Tune / Points Event #1
Connor and i are registered and we got his minor waiver done electronically (he is 17) since they changed it this year, thanks Mark P. for the direction on that. This is the first test and tune i've attended (and first AX in almost 15 years). We are sooo looking forward to it! This was on the schedu...

Re: Reintroduction
Nice to meet some of you guys last night at the social. Connor and I will plan on going to the March 5 T&T also, so if any of you AX veterans can ride with him for pointers or let him ride along with you on Sat, that would be great. See you all in Bristol.

Re: Ethanol free gasoline....where?
I think that is on the pure-gas.org website. Does it have 92 and not 93? No, don't see it listed under knoxville...the one listed on south northshore, but that is a wiegels and far west from this one...this is on the other end of northshore, off of papermill exit and between kingston pike and westl...

Re: Ethanol free gasoline....where?
not sure if this one was identified, but there is a gas station on northshore between kingston pike and lakeshore park that sells "100% gas"...stop there all the time (have good biscuits in the morning too)...

Re: First Event was great!
i walked it @ 4 or 5 times....but for me what I find helps me the best is after i finish walking it, I stand somewhere in the middle where i can see most all of the course at once, and visually do a run or two that way...i haven't gotten good enough where i can do it in my mind without driving it fi...

Re: Street Touring R - anyone going to run this class next year?
Hey Phil, I am looking at a set of used 993 Cup wheels right now...might be the same size as yours? - 7x9x17 all 55 offsets...if the price works out i'll probably get them for STR, as other 17 options for our cars are $$...did you get spacers and test fitment? i think i will need 1" in the fro...

Re: Street Touring R - anyone going to run this class next year?
well, I hope a few run this class, I think i've pretty much made up my mind to as i put my cat back on yesterday and also reinstalled my rear seats 8) given everthing else, I think my car is better classed here than in BSP.....but for my setup I can get 255s out back, but the fronts are limited to ...

Re: Street Touring R - anyone going to run this class next year?
yes, 225x17 will fit in the front, add a little camber and you will prolly be fine with the right offsets, which is key (7.5x17 with 35 offsets with 225/45 is a good combo @ front)...i tried a set of my friends 17 inch wheels and tires once and they fit my car fine...

well guys, I have prepped the car for STR, except I won't be able to get the right wheels and tires for a while...will have to run in BSP for a while, until I shred what is left of my old R888s

Re: Street Touring R - anyone going to run this class next year?
well, I hope a few run this class, I think i've pretty much made up my mind to as i put my cat back on yesterday and also reinstalled my rear seats 8) while my car has decent torque, it isn't a S2000 @ suspension and tire width for sure..also the MX-5s are supposed to be a hot car here... given ever...
