Tires needed

If anyone has any 16" race tires that can get me through the rest of the events, I would be interested in them. 245's would be nice, but anything is better than nothing.

Trailer Tires

Any suggestions on brands and where to get them. The ones I've looked at so far are Goodyear Marathons, Kumho and Carlisle. I find good and bad reviews on all of them.

Body Shop?

Can someone recommend a good shop to get an estimate for insurance?

WTB: Corolla Transmission

I may be needing an automatic transmission for a 91 Corolla with the 1.6 engine. I'm sure there are plenty at Pull-a-Part, but I would rather know I'm getting a good one instead of changing it multiple times.

It was definitely a good time. Thanks again to J.D., Tyler and all the workers.

Re: Tire recycling

The Knoxville convenience centers will take 4 tires per person per year for free. I thought there was one around Oak Ridge that would take more, but I will have to look again. Other than that there is the Tire Corral that charges $0.50 per tire, 523-8473.

I found my IT7 car on http://race-cars.com/ but it doesn't seem like the adds are always up to date.

Borrow/Rent torsion bar tool

Needing to use a GM torsion bar unloading tool for the front of a K3500 if anyone has one they would want to loan or rent out.

Yeah, I guess I should have added that they were great to deal with. Also, the tires seem to be able to take a lot of abuse. I have around 90 runs on mine.

There are quite a few scrap metal recyclers in the area. PSC Metals and Tennessee Metals and others. Some of the Knoxville recycling convenience centers also take scrap metal, but they don't pay anything.

So do workers post here or wait for the registration to open like a regular event?

I am volunteering to work this time around.
