Re: Flat Rock USA to replace OR Motorsports Park

My understanding is that there will be multiple track configurations within the 6 mile total length. So I'll be curious what some of the racing clubs will use and with that they could probably have two courses going on at the same time I would imagine some days. Kind of like at VIR where car magazin...

Re: Flat Rock USA to replace OR Motorsports Park

I've been keeping up with the updates on this since it was first announced for the Oak Ridge location. Now it looks to be about 25-30 minutes from my home. I would say it will be in the central time zone as the line is just a half mile or more back toward I-40 East. Looks be to just on the backside ...

Danny can probably answer anything you need... he's big into the Ultimate Street Car Challenge stuff that's always on TV.

Re: Another loss for ETR

This is the 3rd racer I know personally (2 dirt racers passed away in their sleep last weekend) that has passed on. I talked to Walter a few times when we were at CMP with Nasa. Hate to hear this...

Re: Looking for 100 octane or higher non-leaded fuel

I've got some 110 mixed with 93 that I've been trying to sell for awhile. I would have to check, but I'd say its leaded fuel. I got 24 gallons left cause I've switched over to VP113 now.

I go to West Haven all the time for random stuff, but it is more geared to the round track guys for sure.

Re: Solo2 work to do...

I wouldn't think you would want to go to bigger rotors, that's just more rotational mass to lug around that you don't have to... especially for autox. If you need better stopping power, just get the Hawk DTC70's and that will do the trick. It's probably much harder to find 315's for 17" wheels ...

Re: Your experience taking it to the road courses.

I started off doing test-n-tune drag racing in an 04 Mustang Cobra back in 2007. A friend of mine told me I should come check out ETR's autox at PSTCC because I would probably like it. So late in 2007, I took my Cobra and ran my first autox... and loved it. So much so that I decided to sell the Cobr...

2014 Dirt Racing

I don't post much on here anymore, but I do drop in occasionally to see what all is going on and see the results of ETR's events. Some of you see what I've been up to via Facebook, so this will be old news to those. I got out of road racing last year when I sold the corvette. It was a hard decision,...

Re: Jumping in the deep end

Congrats on the purchase! I think you will really enjoy driving the vette, everything happens so fast in it and you really have to work the throttle on your corner exits to set the car right. Mine was easy on tires and ran local events with over 100 runs on them and were still competitive. Probably ...

Sold! The vette left on a trailer to California then on to Australia over a week ago. So now onto getting my late model ready. I've already bought a chassis and should have it ready hopefully by mid July.

Re: Hossier A6 at the drag strip

When I had my cobra, I used the Nitto 555R on the rear for street and strip use. They won't hook like a try drag radial will, but I was able to pull a 7.66 @ 93mph with a 1.8 60ft in the 1/8 mile with those tires.

If you haven't already, you should try to post this up on svtperformance.com as I'm sure there will be some guys looking for parts like these for their GT500's.

Re: May Fastrack

Well, what I'm saying is that other AWD cars are probably significantly above or below the performance envelope of the 2011-2013 WRX. Let's see STi EVO Audi (is the DS one quattro?) Impreza That's really about it. Maybe some Porsche's, but those would be up the ladder as well. If it goes that route...
