Re: What now?
Bringing this back up... Still debating trading for a Focus ST versus buying a 2nd car like an AP2 (which is something I won't have time to do until March or later)... One of the things I don't like about the FoST is that you can't get any front shocks for a '14, and with another change for the 15'...

Jackie Stewart documentary
For any of you that have Netflix, they now have an updated version of Roman Polanski's 1971 documentary about Jackie Stewart at the Monaco Grand Prix. It is called Weekend of a Champion and the update is a recent conversation between Jackie Stewart and Roman Polanski that I found quite interesting.

I saw a Porsche 912 go through that fence. If I remember correctly, it was in 1977.

Federal regs did not specify cats. Car manufacturers chose that route to meet the regs. The oldest car I have seen a cat on with my own eyes was 1978 model.

Re: Sales
I have grown disappointed with GRM since they recently "tested" a gasoline additive. They did not provide much info about the additive then claimed a performance increase after putting it in a Ford Focus in a tank full of 87 octane gas. The owner's manual for this car clearly states that a...

Re: Warped Rotors?
I have seen variations of this pop up on various forums for years. Like Ted I have seen many obviously warped discs.

Re: Car Question
What Steve said about the Del Sol having a flexible chassis is an under statement. My brother had one for a while. It was so flexible that as we took the removable roof out, you could see the car flex while it was sitting still.

Re: Fuel Pressure Questions
Looking back at your original post, I have seen bad crank position sensors in GM cars exibit the exact symptoms you describe. They worked until they got hot then once they cooled down would start working again. I don't know if your car even has a crank postion sensor but if it does it might be worth...

Re: New Novice to Solo
If you buy a motorcycle helmet, look for the Snell sticker under the padding inside the helmet. At cycle shops there are a lot of DOT only helmets which will not meet SCCA requirements. A number of years ago, there was an SCCA tech bulletin about some safety concerns with closed or full face helmets...

Re: Chris Oakley in the hospital
I wish Chris a speedy and complete recovery. I have not met him but did read about his accident on I-75 Motorsports' FB page. The popularity of that road has changed the nature of driving it unless you are willing to take stupid big risks. When I do go, it is on a cold dry day after the leaves are d...
