I know I haven't been around much lately, but I have a favor to ask.
Are any ETR'ers headed to Bowling Green this weekend? I bought a pair of tires that I'm hoping someone can bring back for me.

Re: Car transport ideas?
I've always been curious what it would cost to ship a car. I did a quick Google search and found www.weshipcars4u.com. Ft. Lauderdale to Alcoa is $620. Fuel cost only for going out there in a truck (1700 mi round trip at 16 mpg) is $250 to $300 depending on fuel costs. To fly/drive would probably be...

Re: Car transport ideas?
So, the issue now is just to get a car and some spares (that I assume cannot fit within the car) back to Tennessee from south Florida without missing any work?

Re: KnoxVegas LowBallers are Looking for Spring CMP Drivers
My first w2w experience was at a LeMons race. A LOT of people drive a car aggressively for the FIRST time at LeMons. No experience needed. We survived this race, and got 1st and 2nd in class B. The next race we plan to attend is the Fall CMP race (Sept 19-20). If anyone is interested in participatin...

Sub/Amp are gone.
I only say Ted has dibs because I'm pretty sure he helped me spec out the part numbers. He may not even know this stuff is posted here yet.

KnoxVegas LowBallers are Looking for Spring CMP Drivers
For anyone that has ever dreamed about road racing a rear engine Geo Metro or twin-engine minivan, your chance has come. KVLB is looking for a couple of drivers for the spring CMP race. We camp on site, eat well, and usually run pretty competitively (in the Geo and Contour). PM me or Gary for more d...

Did you model that in Rhino?
McMaster-Carr is a good place to buy the material. Looks like you can buy a stainless blank in 3.5" diameter at 1/4" or 1/2" thick for about $20.

RV is the answer. Then you can save hotel money too. Staying on-site makes for a much more relaxing time away.
Find someone that you know with some space to park it when you're not using it.

Re: Machine Shop for basic head work
Hitch has done well on everything I've needed in the last 7 or 8 years. They don't put much effort into organization around there, so I'm always nervous they're going to lose my stuff. So far, so good though.

Good job! Winning is a great feeling. It's amazing just how many things have to go right to win a LeMons race.

Re: ETRSCCA # 8
Thanks for the compliments on the Geo. It's taken a lot of testing and effort to get it driving as well as it does. It belongs to me and GaryM, and has lots of wrench time from several other ETR members. It's actually a Ford 3.0L DOHC V6 in the back. I wasn't at the event Sunday. Gary and Ryan were ...
