Thanks, Ted!

For Sale: 2005 Rebel with extras

It is time to sell my 05 Rebel 250. I will post this here and on local forums for the next 2 weeks before dealing with the crazies on Craigslist. This bike is located in Knoxville, TN. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m206/LeadSSled/The%20Bikes%20in%20the%20Stable/Honda%20Rebel/2005Rebel01_zpseba2...

Another instance of "anything can happen" in a LeMons race.

Ouch. I did that on Choto Rd with a Road King last June, but at only at 45 mph. It totaled the bike... and the deer.

Re: Volkswagen SKC Code

Have you talked to Mark McCreary? I believe that he is working as a Salesman for Fairway Ford & VW dealership now. He may have a hook up there. You also might try talking to the VW experts at MF Automotive (Matt Ford's place). They are as knowldgeable (or more) that the local stealership and muc...

Re: School me on used car tax, tag, & title costs

Now when I look at people who trade out cars on a regular basis, I will be sure to look at them with a crazy stare. FYI - If you TRADE a car for another one, the buyer only pays tax on the difference between the purchase price and the trade in value. If you pay $15K for a car and they give you $10K...

Re: School me on used car tax, tag, & title costs

Here is the real deal on the taxes. From the Knox County Clerk's website. Sales Tax ■ State Sales Tax is 7% of purchase price less total value of trade in. ■Local Sales Tax is 2.25% of the first $1,600. This amount is never to exceed $36.00. For purchases in excess of $1,600, an additional state ta...

Re: how has autocrossing affect everyones street driving hab

Reaction to unexpected road hazards such as an animal running into the road, or an idiot pulling in out in front of me, etc.. are much more "automatic" and do not induce panic. I have confidence that I know exactly what the car will do in nearly every traffic situation. I have found that i...

Re: The Official 2011-12 Off Season Plans thread!

My off season plans consist mostly of unbuilding the CRX and putting it back into stock form for sale, then selling all the hotrod stuff, unless someone is interested in buying it as is. I kind of hate to get rid of it but the cars are going to start multiplying if I don't thin the herd. Someone pl...

You know what a 70's era porno sounds like? Sure. I was in high school in the 70's. I went to my share of x-rated movies back in the day. Debbie Does Dallas, Emmanuel, etc. But it was always a "party crowd" that went as a group. I didn't sit alone in the back row with a trench coat or any...
