No it unloads it and u lower it by turning the coupling ring on the shock which lets the spring stretch out more causing less rate on the spring.

It is a progressive spring, at the bottom of the spring it is flat and the higher it goes it starts to round till it gets completely round the rest of the way up. Lowering my car does not increase the rate it decreases it. If the spring is loaded at all on the carand you lower the car the spring has less load on it and will travel more which with a load already on it makes it travel less and mine are the variant III coilovers. JY

The lower you go also changes the spring rate, that is on my k w variant coilovers. I do not know about Dave's setup but I would think it would lower the spring rate on any set up. This is what I learned from Sam in Blytheville when he drove my car. JY

I got the info on who owns it from the property tax office at the court house, so I think it is on the up and up. JY

I think I have tracked down the right owner and they are in New Jersey. It is owned by a Omatex Corp. on 9 peachtree hill Rd. Livingston N.J. 07039 and the contact is Sherry Shu and the number is 973-994-8000. JY

JB and I just left the lot and it is 900 feet long and 354 feet wide with no poles and the entire lot is usable we may have to have a work day if we get to use this lot to get the grass growing thru the cracks down but we could have a evo school also.
