Re: Wheel Weight Opinions

I don't know how many vendors finish the wheels themselves. Need for Speed said they had a "factory" near them that finished them but I'm unsure if it was theirs or shared with other vendors. GetYourWheels does it all in house. I think what they actually do is receive the blanks from Asia and machin...

Re: Wheel Weight Opinions

Just wanted to follow up and say that I received my wheels from GetYourWheels and they are all straight. No discernible runout in the lateral or radial planes. They also threw in a free set of tuner lugs and a socket I wasn’t expecting. They were also very responsive to questions and replied quickly...

Re: Wheel Weight Opinions

Well, I ordered another set of Forgestars, even though I swore I wouldn't. Hopefully they turn out round. Everything else I found was either much heavier or three times the price. The vendor actually quoted me a maximum acceptable runout of 0.25mm, which is the first time I've been able to get a num...

ETR Vintage Video

Found these on my hard drive while cleaning up... thought some of you (other) old guys might get a kick out of 'em:

I didn't create/edit the videos, just rediscovered them. Looks like Chris Greer is probably the one who made them.

Re: Trailer rental

Just curious.... what were they doing? You pretty much just hook a septic drain line up, open the valve on the camper, and let it drain out, right?

Forum & TapaTalk Upgrade

I just upgraded the forum software to the latest version as well as the TapaTalk plugin. Please let me know if you see any issues. Also, it looks like the latest version of the TapaTalk plugin won't let me disable ads anymore (only in the TapaTalk app... shouldn't see any from a browser). I can't sa...

We should set up some sort of cloud sharing group or something... I haven't looked into how it works yet.

Re: Are you using data and video?

So it doesn't seem like folks are getting a lot on their runs alone? That'd be my primary short term objective. Look at run #1, look at run #2, and put together a plan for run #3. You get more from two drivers, but SoloStorm will show you where you lost time between two runs, so you can look at tho...

Re: Are you using data and video?

I ran data and video on all the runs Cathers and I took. Initially it was obvious that the biggest difference was that he used a lot more throttle than me. I tried concentrating on that and improved a little (and spun a lot) but I learned that it was more about car position... he positions the car w...
