Re: SCCA pinewood derby?

I took the rules to the max. When they inspected it I had to prove everything was legal. Polish axles, reamed wheels, turned wheels to remove mold seams. Weight was .4 over so it would round down. They said we took it to far. Funny thing is she did most of the work with my research and direction.

Re: SCCA pinewood derby?

I built one for my daughter when she was in Girl Scouts. It was in speck but they said it wasn’t sporting and disqualified it.

Re: Another “What’s this tool?” Thread

With the hook on the end it almost looks like some kind of tire tool.

WTB hewland trans

I have heard rumors for years of a possible barn find hewland trans in our region. I probably can’t afford it but I would like to have one for an upcoming project. If anyone has one or knows where one is hidden lit me know. Thanks.

I am changing some parts on my turbo. Afterward it needs to be balanced. Is there anywhere in Knoxville that does turbo work. Thanks.

STM for the lotus clone

I am seriously thinking of running STM next year. Get me some of the 245 rival 15". The car will be street legal by then. I was wondering if anyone running that class had a problem with it before I buy tires. Thanks.

I am out for the year.

My trans has been binding in reverse since I got it. Today when I went to try out the new trailer, it stuck in reverse. I think a broken shift fork but don't know why it was binding in the first place. So while it's out I my take it all the way down and paint it. So it will be down for a while. I wi...

Re: Building a tire rack?

I have a open trailer. None of the wall mount ones will work. I am building one that will set on the tongue of the trailer. Will hold two sets of tires.

Building a tire rack?

I am going to build a tire rack for the new trailer. My biggest question is how long to make it. I think I will run 15x11 6ul wheels with 275 Hoosiers on it. So I was thinking 48" would be good but I don't have tires that wide to see. Any advice would help. Thanks.
