Re: Rust in iron engine block.

No idea. But! Sweet mirrors. Can't tell if you are being sarcastic but, I got them off a 76 F250 out in a field. Took them home and cleaned them up really nice, bronzed the hardware and replaced other pieces. I think I may want to tone down the stainless look a bit and paint the mirror housings mat...

Re: ETR #1 Course Designer

I wish this forum had a 'like this post' feature. I think Bob would have the most. Not gonna attempt to design a course. After attempting with a template of Pelli in the past the job was much more of a challenge than I expected. After that I never bitched about a course design again, unless I lost, ...

Rust in iron engine block.

So my 1994 F150 has some rust in the engine block. The truck is high mileage so it's not something I would consider unexpected, however, when I sit in traffic with the A/C on max the truck starts to get pretty hot. It doesn't overheat but the gauge does climb to about 215-220*, which is hotter than ...

Re: ABS unit unplug

That dual MC with balance bar is fancy. Brian, most things I read about a bias valve on an ABS car is usually to avoid it. I am not sure how an ABS system works so I really can't talk theory of operation but, people seem to have issues with the operation of ABS while running a bias valve. I think go...

Re: ECOTECH

We have a lack of FWD cars in STM. Adam is about the only guy and he was really starting to get quick by the end of the season. I think some more FWD competition would be awesome to see. Sorry everyone left you in STS. :?

Or slap some forced induction on, take out the interior of the EF and come over to the dark side of STM!

Re: ECOTECH

Is he not talking about the ecotec 4cyl from GM? They make a swap kit for the miata that is pretty affordable. The turbo motors are still pretty expensive but people have made 400/400 hp/tq with corn and stock turbo. Way too much power for most any miata.

Re: Stm who is running this year?

Sweet man. Not sure how much participation in STM there will be this year. I'll probably try for all the Smokie events but most of the Bristol events I probably won't participate in.

Man, that's awesome to hear. I too do not know who you should talk to, but I think if we keep bumping it someone will take you up on that contact. I would love a lot that stays in Knoxville.

Re: **January Fastrack News**

Of course Ted! Factory Nissan turbo and all! Honestly I catch myself thinking 20 year old cars are old or something all the time. It's like my brain is still stuck in the 90s. I'm sure most OEMs use some sort of ecu controlled boost control, if not for performance but safety. I remember in high scho...

Re: **January Fastrack News**

I'm no super tooner, but we sure didn't add any selenoids on the STi and the street tune was about 3 psi higher than factory. Not sure what year the STI was but, it seems they come factory with an EBC. According to COBB. http://www.cobbtuning.com/support/how-subarus-factory-boost-control-system-wor...

Re: **January Fastrack News**

Was this just a basic COBB AP or did you go for a standalone? I'd like to see how they were able to gain more boost without control over the wastegate.
