Re: So, I wrote a letter.
I don't think the car would upset anything, but usually rare(ish) and expensive (ish) cars are somewhat intentionally left out or buried on the off chance some one put a good one together and dominated. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk 1) sshhhhh, that was my plan :pirate: 2) I thought about t...

So, I wrote a letter.
I haven't been able to make many events this year even being back in town (miss you guys/gals), so I put my idle time to use and wrote a "letter" to SCCA asking for the "Vintage" NSX to be included in STR. Allegedly this will be in an upcoming Fastrack for comment/discussion. So ...

Re: ETR #3 "Game of Cones"
I'm going to wake up in time to make it, look outside/at the radar and establish how motivated I am to get back between the cones, then weigh that against my tolerance for wet socks and make a go/no-go then. No horse in any race this season, so incentives are what they are. I do plan to start regula...

Re: car trailer alignment?
Advised interested party they should probably just bin it and buy the enclosed trailer they've been wanting for probably 5 years, lol.oldmuscle69 wrote:So what have ya done?

Re: car trailer alignment?
Yeah, we know that the axles are not parallel at this point (via string measurement). So really it's more an issue of replacing stuff vs. adjusting anything then. Good to know (somewhat cost unfortunate though).

car trailer alignment?
Who/Where around here can align a 2 axle open trailer that's gotten out of alignment over a couple of decades or so?
Thanks!

Re: Event #8 Sound "Hall of Shame"
FTR: new tailpipe arrived in the mail Saturday. If that doesn't shut her up, then I'll make a call or two regarding some kind of auger/supertrapp/bullet muffler shenanigans with the old one.

Re: Sound Shenanigans
Yeah, if I'm going to go "plan X" and just replace the tailpipe with something quieter, then I'll just spend the money on something with a couple of larger mufflers or similar, polish mine up and sell it to someone who wants something loud.

Re: Sound Shenanigans
Welp, I'll see if I get things together in time for this weekend. If not, then later in the season. Worst case I may just come hang out, lol. Too many projects to finish at once being back in town, selling a house in CO and looking for (a bigger one) here.

Re: Sound Shenanigans
Cool. I have no issues drilling my tailpipe (already have honestly). My issue is that I think my the tips on the current tailpipes flare to like 3/3.5". Also good to know about the melting issues. I'd thought about that with the way the supertrapp works, but wasn't sure how real my concern was....

Sound Shenanigans
So, I'm back. (living in Knoxville again) and would like to start making some events. However, I know (pretty much no question) that the NSX won't clear sound at Pellisippi. Do we have a go-to guy/shop/solution these days? I've seen mention of augers and supertraps. My current tailpipe needs a littl...

Re: Waylens Camera
My phone-app lap timer uses the 1hz GPS in the device, but does a pretty good job extrapolating/interpolating and is usually accurate to within a tenth (when compared with transponder time). good enough for track, not good enough for AX. 10hz with good interpolation/extrapolation should be more than...

Re: Your experience taking it to the road courses.
I'll second what Gary said about LeMons/Chump. The "junker" racing is a blast and renting a seat is still far any away the cheapest way to see if you might like wheel-to-wheel.
