Re: 2010 Regional #6 Results (Pro changed)

A big thanks to Ted for helping me get my car jumped off. I apparently turned on my driving lights while flailing on the steering wheel on run 4 and didn't realize it.

Also, congrats to Brian Hatten on the STR win.

Re: Broken wheel stud

Thanks for the input. Ended up requiring more tools and time than we had to fix it.

Broken wheel stud

I don't have any experience with this but I'm sure several of you have. What is involved in changing a wheel stud? Also, how far could you expect to travel with one less stud on a wheel? My brother broke a wheel stud on his Toyota 4Runner yesterday. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Great Event JB!!

Great course and a very well run event today. Had a lot of fun even though I couldn't find a way to trophy in the huge STS class. Big thanks to John Brown for a really great event.

Re: H22 engine swap

This was (is?) a popular engine swap for accords and civics for certain model years. I looked into it for my accord several years back and gave up on it after I realized it was going to cost a fortune. typical online price for engine/trans/ECU - not sure if this one is right for your car http://cgi....

Re: H22 engine swap

My understanding is that you would need to go with the engine and transmission. Also you will need the ECU or the motor will not make full power. If your car doesn't have v-tec this means you will need to modify the wiring harness. I think this would be a pretty expensive swap.

Re: First Event was great!

I walked the course 4 times. I would have walked it at least 1 more if time allowed. It usually takes me the 2nd walk through to pick my look ahead cones. I agree fully with John about the novices. Anything less than 5 walk throughs is asking for problems. The first run group had several people that...

Richard- Falken makes 14" tires in a 195 width. Not the best street tire but better than a "regular" street tire. They are pretty inexpensive compared to an R-comp. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?yr=1994&pc=18500&counter=1&ar=60&rd=14&vi...

You might want to see if you can find somebody at MAHLE over in Morristown. They have a lot of Mazaks over there and their business is WAY down.

Electrical Tech wouldn't be bad. Ours make in the low 20's per hour and get overtime. We have 3 guys that are ex-military.
