Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

Out of curiosity, did the alignment shop tell you what the front toe setting was initially? Actually, I think your tires are already better than Clancy's. I don't remember the exact specs but toe was in on both sides...now both front and rear set to 0 degrees. This with snegativetive camber did it....

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

Paul, You really should get the alignment done as soon as possible. You're wearing your front tires faster than you should and it's probably costing you gas mileage too. Conceivably, it will pay for itself. Unless your wheels are bent, the alignment won't change when you change wheels and tires. If...

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

Driving Paul's car at the Jetport was interesting. If makes EVO school instructors even more impressive. The ability to jump in a car you've never driven and go fast is amazing. I had a lot of difficulty with the paddle shifters and adjusting to the wider rear track. We didn't check pressures betwe...

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

Yes....DeWitt $3000 was labor included when I spoke of square setup I can get this with just changing the tires to 265 all around which will give me a bit more width in the front but a little less in the back. i will not be doing any 1LE track pack for sure just tires.

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

GM sells the 1LE track Pack for stock SS Camaro $3000 but to keep my warranty it must be installed by dealer. It also does not include GEARS, TRANS, 26HP, WHEELS AND TIRES I don't think so.

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

I have driven since the first event in February with all nannies OFF. I have used the white shoe polish on my tires and found the sweet spot. I have tried air pressure changes from suggested 37lbs to 44 high and 32 low have changed many combinations higher front lower back and reversed. Since my car...

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

Testing and daily driving a 27mm front bar is correct for the Gen5 Camaro in a variety of configurations. If you are in an understeer mode, as speed is reduced the slide will reduce. Lifting off the gas or hitting the brakes does not cause any dramatic reaction when in understeer mode. The stock Cam...

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

Yep, it's not about spinning the car. It's about pushing past your comfort zone. When I talked about targets, it's not just who is in your class. If there is an ST Honda that normally runs times slightly better than yours, there is a target. Yes it's apples and oranges but it can be helpful to get ...

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

...that was a 1LE track pack car that won nationals has a lot of different equipment ...gears, trans, sway bars, shocks, 26 more HP, tires and wheels I think 11's. Gary Kittel ran our last 2 events in a 1LE and smoked F Street both times if not mistaken. Which brings me to another question why do ca...

Re: Driving Frustration Setting In

How many times have you spun the car? NEVER Chris…my car seems to push way before the back end will come around. The car has a staggered setup with 10.8 wide in rear and 9.6 in front. I have tried different levels of fuel in the tank and tire pressure to force the ass end around to force a spin and ...
