the 1.8T is gonna make all the power you need for a car like that. stock turbo guys (or direct swapped turbos from other VAG cars) are making up to 230whp/275wtq on stock internals, no nitrous. most of the guys who are doing custom t3/t04e turbo setups are fliriting with 400whp, and that's with very...

here is a chart to help you compare diameters.

i don't know what tires are available in these sizes, but 205/45/16 and 215/45/16 look to be pretty comparable in diamater, plus you'll see a bit more contact patch.

 DOH! silly me. i saw the prices on the H&R site and got excited, then it kicked in that i'd have to buy 20 of those buggers at 4-5 bucks a pop AND buy lugnuts and'd have find other modes of transportation for a day or so while they cure and they might stick out past my stock wheels and bl...

wheel stud conversion?

lately, i've found myself doing at lot of tire changes in a dark apartment parking lot before and after autocross events. i don't know what other cars have them, but my car has wheel bolts that screw into the hub. sometimes half of my tire change time is spent trying to line up bolt holes in the dar...

my heel-toe capabilities are somewhat limited by an ankle that had a metal rod and 4 screws placed in it earlier this year. even though i've never tried it in the autocross course (i don't know if my drive-by-wire setup would even let me), i can left foot brake like a champ. back in the spring, i dr...
