Re: ETR at Dixie
Yeah... that's been my biggest problem with my driving since moving to the Corvette... Fear and trust. When the car dances ( like it's supposed to ) I find myself backing down or making a stupid move that either slows me down or upsets the car and slows it down. You can see the difference in my car ...

Re: ETR at Dixie
Congrats to the local winners. BIG thanks to JC for letting me borrow the ramps to get the Grand Sport up on the trailer. Dan and I ran out to get lunch before 4th heat was over so we could get back to watch 5th. Kim was updating us on things as they unfolded. JC / Mark... need to get some phone #s ...

Re: nitto nt05 ? Michelin PS2?
Sorry Jim... didn't mean to assume that. :) How much are the PS2s in comparison to the other tires? If you're going to stay in the Street category you need to keep the stock width and close to the stock offset ( +/- 1/4" ) while still going up or down 1" in Dia. This whole deal you're goin...

Re: nitto nt05 ?
Ok, So, if you're just wanting to come out and have some fun and not spend a butt load of $ the easy answer is to buy the best you can afford without worrying about tire life. That being said, I've heard no good things about the NT05 when it comes to using as an autocross tire. I know some that have...

How many hours is it from K-ville to site?
We're doing to spend the night in town on the way home and wonder how late a night it will be.
Trying to break up the drive on the way home.

Re: Hoosier = dead?
I have bunches of sets that I leave in my garage ( attached, but still damn cold ) and last year I ran on a set from 2009. Was quicker ? nah... did I care? Nope.
Like was said... find a local TNT or something and beat up on them. As long as there's grooves ( or even 1 ) then you're good.

We're getting there sometime Friday... not sure exactly when. I'll find you guys when we get time.
I hear that there will be fun for all. Lots of people looking to shake off the cobwebs and let loose.

Re: Last nights meeting..and Novices.
with cross overs, we find it all the more important to have chalk line the course. Yes, it takes more time... yes it's more work, but for walking the course... especially at the college with the elevation changes and the two lots and so on I've found it a challenge to know what the course designer's...

Re: Last nights meeting..and Novices.
Ok, here's my take if anyone is interested... Since I'm not currently a member of the region I will only speak from my experience. We've been struggling with this very issue ( novice ride-alongs ) for a couple years and since I've been our region's novice chief I've had trouble figuring this out too...

Ok, so I've decided that either the car is getting fixed cheap or not at all, as I don't have the scratch to do everything that "MIGHT" be needed if the fixes I've looked into don't work.
SO... I'll see those of you going to Dixie down there. I'm running my friend Dan's grand sport in SSR.
