I don't recommend seriously drag racing unless you can put an STi gearset in it. I have heard going to 1st is a NO-NO. what are the other problems with the trannies? Davd used to tear out the output yoke on the Talon regularly, why he sold that one. It's been 10 years since subby manual transmision...

Yo Chris… I need to find setup info for a 03 WRX, kinda quick, how bout the hookup maing? Best places for suspension, rims, knowledgeable folks , etc. has to work for both autoX and drag racin

On the 2900 lbs 98 Jetta, 8” x2.5” diam, 275#front, 350#rear with a stock front bar, and decent sized rear bar (can’t find the diam and ground is soaked) Those rates may be a bit too stiff for daily driving on a lighter Rabbit. The rates in my 98 Jetta might be too much for a light 83 Rabbit unless you are gonna road race the Rabbit. I'll have to double check spring rates at the house. also, how much you planing on driving the Rabbit on them lovely NJ roads? I know them, I've driven there. Hopalong Vischer with shocks??!!!...

I'm going to try and find a co-drive with someone in a Nationally prepared MINI and just pay their entry fee.
