Re: Any trackday events in Jan/Feb?

And the fast line in 3 is hopping over the cubbing on the inside. On the exit of turn 5, you can let the car track out past the gators as there is additional pavement over there. But you have to get back over quick because it turns to grass quickly! I always wanted to drive too hard into 7 since I c...

Re: Any trackday events in Jan/Feb?

I actully have beeing thinking about you and the C5 there...what corner was it? T-12.. the scary one  Yep, that's the one. No runoff room at all there. You come down the hill from under the bridge and I was running about 110-115 mph through there when it happened. There isn't too many places w...

Re: Any trackday events in Jan/Feb?

Be careful at Road Atlanta Derek... that track eats many cars over the course of a year. Don't ask me how I know.

Re: Splitter Material?

My advice is to find any way to use Hoosier A6's or BFG R1S's if you can for time trials. You'll see most of your benefit from that than anything else you can throw at the car. But don't be afraid to go smaller in tire size. The guys running TTA C5 vette's last year were winning and setting track re...

Getting to run a Polaris sideXside for a RallyCross would be so much fun! I would think since they are allowed to do autox... why not RallyCross 8)

Re: auto-cross 2012 in hind-sight

My 2012 racing plans changed more often than I ever anticipated. 1. After wrecking the vette at the last 2011 event at Road Atlanta, I knew I was going to be rebuilding the car most of 2012. I originally planned to go all out to modify it to the Nasa Super Touring 2 rules (alot like the XP rules in ...

Not sure of his rotor and caliper size, but I'm able to fit Wilwood SL6 calipers behind these wheels with a 13" rotor with a small 1/4" spacer on the fronts.

Re: Who has a press? Need next week (Weekend of 11/23)

If the Camaro is anything like a vette, those ball joint tools are well worth their money. I have one in my garage that I got at AutoZone for maybe $20. It's adjustable and works great... its a little clumsy in tight areas though. Do you do all your own allignment Derek? You will probably need one a...

Re: Project ST2 Rebuild

One thing that has taken lots of people by surprise is how fast the TTA vettes are on small Hoosiers. Mark Nunnally and Scott Perkins have been running 245 Hoosier's and setting track records on them. Of course those cars are maxed out in points, used all the free mods in TT and very well prepped. Y...
