Re: Formula SAE Team, Registration and Multiple Drivers

FSAE measures sound half a meter away from the exhaust tip. SCCA measures it 50' away when you should be under hard acceleration with the meter set to A and slow. Most likely you will be ok. As long as the DD2 kart has all the sound absorbing glass mat in the silencer and has the intake airbox it sh...

I'm not sure how they plan to enforce violations or if they are just monitoring trends. Kinda wanna hang out with a hidden loud speaker to play Roush Mustang sound clip when a Tesla drives by.

Sound control...

Anyone who complains about the SCCA sound policy best not go around downtown Knoxville. The sound limit reportedly is 82. I've measured HS cars at 87.

Re: Formula SAE Team, Registration and Multiple Drivers

Need to verify the number of drivers per car and let the registration folks know the events you will run. Re: Classing Help

you could run a Formula Ford in STM and someone used to threaten to do that. 8) Don't have to worry about that threat any more... from me  The details of the engine and drivetrain along with what tires you would like to run would impact the classing. If the tires are at or over 200 tread...

Re: Bristol Rally

Yeah. What Chris posted is a Recce Run to make the notes to run what Scott posted. Kinda like video from an autocross or track day where "MAN, I WAS FLYING AT THE LIMIT!!!" Then you watch the video and it seems like a snooze fest. :( NASA Rally does have rules for SxS. Must be standa...

Re: Bristol Rally

I played the video at 2x speed and it was still slower than what I've run the dual sport motorcycle down roads like that. At 2x it was so boring I just stopped the video. That's a NOPE from me at that slow a speed too.

With the roads around knoxville, imagine loading your clothes dryer with various sizes of rocks. Run it and sit on the dryer. Some might like it.
