Re: Alignment and Corner Balancing

This is an endorsement: Joe can do just about anything. He helped me years ago to align the chassis on my Sports Renault which involved moving some of the chassis points to make the chassis square(evidently they came off the chassis gig at SCCA in a warped form).

Re: Volunteers for Chief positions for Adesa (United Way) Ev

Marcus, we will need some experienced and assertive workers for the front gate. Only those with arm bands or the ride-a-log placard should be allowed inside the fence.

Re: Adesa 9/24

We were going to have a band on Fri nite but WalMart wouldnt give us permission. Frankly we were lucky to get to use the portion of the lot that they authorized. One of those corporate decisions compounded by the lack of power in the area that they will allow us to use. The Friday nite thing is an e...

Re: Volunteers for Chief positions for Adesa (United Way) Ev

Debbie is trying to arrange for some pizzas to be there along with drinks. I think that we say to start registering at 6pm but we might want to wait a little while ie 7pm to start with tech. Up to Chris, I guess.

That type of news is never easy to digest. You just want to deny that it can happen.

NO sound is my memory too. No significant neighbors but the interstate.

Re: ADESSA EVENT

Maybe I need to make this clearer. The Holiday Inn Express has agreed to be the event motel and has set aside a block of 15 rooms at a discounted rate for participants. Yeah, you might be able to beat the price and if you dont mind the meth smell, I know some places that are cheaper. I dont know how...

Re: ADESSA EVENT

Debbie has made arrangements for an event discount with the Holiday Inn Express at the Lenoir City exit. I will post that information when I can. There are multiple motels available at the exit if you have other preferences.

Re: ADESSA EVENT

The idea is to create an event with its own vibe and identity. Registration and tech on Friday not only eliminates some of the issues on Saturday morning but also allows us to "show off" the cars and the event to the locals on Friday night. There will be food and beverages available to kee...

Re: ADESSA EVENT

The intent is to handle this in a similar manner to the Dogwood event where the bulk of registration and tech is done on Friday and as a public event ie car show at Wally World or Home Depot in Lenoir City. If you cant make it on Friday, and you notify the registrar, you can register on Saturday mor...

Re: ADESSA EVENT

There is a UW meeting Thurs morning and some of the final details for the sites will be confirmed. We are still planning on Fri nite registration and tech with limited exceptions for Sat morning. Hopefully there will be more going on than just SCCA and we will get some publicity Friday that will car...

Re: Nelson Ledges...

Years ago rather than paving the track, Nelson Ledges ownership had the track surface ground down(like they do on the interstate and at Indy) and have never repaved the track. Before he went I warned JBB where the potholes would develop and it looks like the track is still the same today. You sort o...

Re: Nelson Ledges...

I did so many laps there during the various Longest Day races that I can still drive that track in my sleep. I still remember all those damn bumps too so I cant blame you for not taking huge chances. I think that Stan Hinds still has a panasport off in the marsh on the outside of turn 2. That track ...
