Re: Searching for Pictures
I have a few from Adesa and maybe a Pelli event as well--the gf played with my camera a few times. What exactly are you looking for?

Re: Softening tires
I've heard WD40 as well, from an old school drag racer. I don't think I'd try it, or any kind of tire treatment, or driving hard on old tires, though.

Re: I Racing
I logged in last night, and there are no dirt tracks yet as far as I can see. Hopefully a few of them will be free to members when they're released.

Re: Brake Problem
Usually if it's going to the floor at all that means a hydraulic problem (master cylinder leaking down, air in the system).

Re: Brake Problem
I have never tested a booster with a vacuum gauge, but your test results make me think it's a bad booster or maybe a sticking/plugged check valve. Your first post says you have no power assist after the first corner, then later goes on to say it takes more travel to get the same stopping power. Whic...

Re: Trailer brake lights not working
Any problem in the actual plug going into the controlller? Bent/slipped pin or something?

Re: Trailer brake lights not working
There should be a ground pin in the plug. I think the whole circuit grounds back to the tow vehicle, not on the trailer itself.

Re: Never Rally'd before, Interested. Questions
http://uspmotorsports-gwh9ams6nbbjfe6jki.stackpathdns.com/images/D/pan-10.jpg Off-topic, these things have a cool plastic drain plug as well. The old metal drain plug with a crush washer would leak if you let it get even slightly off-center while installing. The plastic ones have an o-ring and just...

Re: Never Rally'd before, Interested. Questions
I would prefer to do it in an older "beater" car versus a nearly brand-new one, personally. Especially one with a plastic oil pan.

Re: Cool Tools
Harp, would a small trigger clamp get in there?
If it doesn't exist, make one! Look at handgun sight pushers for inspiration.
Edit!!

Re: Cool Tools
Those coolant bleeders work really, really well. The one at work will suck the radiator hoses in on themselves. Or, maybe I should say the volume of shop air will do that. http://www.tooltopia.com/private-brand-tools-70913.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=paid_search_google...

Re: Rust in iron engine block.
I think flushing through with a hose is the quickest/easiest way, even if you have to separate the system into separate parts to do it. I would think you could rig a water hose into the radiator return line and let it come out the inlet line and just let it run for a while. Maybe run the hose into a...

Re: ABS unit unplug
Some of the (cheap or rule limited) spec racing guys put the proportioning valve in the front circuit and dork with it until they get satisfactory results. This is a cheap/easy solution, but I believe it will increase pedal effort (or the distance you have to push the pedal, or both, not sure) to p...

Re: ABS unit unplug
So fluid flows strongly out of the rear lines when you bleed it? I actually just deleted my ABS, installed a bigger master cylinder, and relocated my prop valve to a better location. Still haven't driven it yet, but hopefully that fixes my spongy pedal as well as any ice mode pants-filling incidents...
