Re: What now?
I still think a 2003-2004 Focus base ZX3 with the 2.3 duratec engine is the best platform for STF domination. An SVT has less torque, but more top end hp, so on the right course it might have a power edge. The SVT is also heavier. Bottom line though, any STF car is probably not going to be something...

Test and tune is open all week. There's room out there for 3 LARGE autocross courses, 5 active grids, 1200 people to paddock, and food trucks. Pretty crazy.

Keith and I did a fly-over this morning, and took a couple of pictures. http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x315/AaronDC8402/0816141239acrop1.jpg http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x315/AaronDC8402/0816141239bcrop1.jpg http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x315/AaronDC8402/0816141239acrop2.jpg

All of us that want an Exige. It's still on my must-have-one-day list. Just a matter of time. It'll be that or an Ariel Atom wannabe that I build for myself.

Re: Local shop for welding wideband sensor bung
Is it a burning smell or exhaust smell? If the weld is cracked enough for you to smell the exhaust, you should also hear the exhaust leak. That would be a pretty big hole. If it's a burning (rubber or plastic) kind of smell, my guess is that some of the new wiring might be in contact with the exhaus...

Re: Local shop for welding wideband sensor bung
We used a Harbor Freight step drill to cut the hole in the exhaust. Once you've got the exhaust off of the car and cut the hole, just about any exhaust shop with a welder could weld the bung in.

Re: Local shop for welding wideband sensor bung
Has anyone ever used that simulated narrowband output? How well does it work? I used the narrowband output on my MTX-L (Innovative) when I originally installed it on my Lightning. It isn't a "simulated" narrow-band output. It IS the narrow-band output. To make this work on a car with a he...

Re: Wilmington Champ Tour
I'm looking for one of the 3 options: 1. Someone to split a hotel room with 2. A couple people that wouldn't mind a 3rd room mate to sleep on a roll-out or the floor 3. One, two, or three people to pay a little gas money to me and "camp" in the RV. It's a pretty sweet RV. A/C, hot shower, ...

Re: New member, wanting to get up to speed
Kids can't ride along until they're 12, but they can race in the junior carts classes. I think kids as young as 6 can compete in that, right? We don't have any that regularly run with us locally, but we have had some at a few events.

I'll have my RV there too, so it can aid in cooking tasks if needed. It has a decent size stove and oven. Every attempt I've made at using the oven though has resulted in stuff burning, but a little less each time.
No raw bacon in the RV. Hailey's rule, not mine.
