Re: 2016 Championship Points
John, on the 2016 points update, it shows you with 100 points. I am not sure if you are looking at the ETR points or Gary's points. If you go to etrscca.org and then scroll down that page to 2016 results and at the top of that says 2016 points. Click on that for the official updated points and even...

Re: 2016 Championship Points
The link on this page isn't right for my points either, as it misses the match tour for me still.

Re: 2016 Championship Points
Yeah that link is missing event #4 for me in STR. My total is now 500 points for the season, not 400 as it indicates.

Re: Event 7 sound "Hall of Shame" (advisory)
First time on the list! I guess without the tail insert and at the right rpm it just cracks 90 now. Good to know so I won't open it up any more.

Re: Bristol SEDIV.
I rather enjoyed both courses that were set up. If I had one wish for a future course at BMS, it would be to add in a proper 7 cone slalom.

Re: Event #7 @ BMS/ SEDIV Championship
Good event. Also thanks to Marcus for driving my car. Found my missing power. I was missing about 10 degrees of timing that I pulled out while trying to resolve the massive oil burning issue.

Re: Event #7 @ BMS/ SEDIV Championship
Part of our decision to run the Bristol events was around getting new people involved in the Tri-Cities area. We have typically had such a big turnout up there that it didn't matter if some of the Knoxville crowd didn't show. I know the weather hurt us at the last local there but I'm at a loss why ...

Looking for STR Co-Drive
Looks like my compression is down ~40psi and my oil consumption rate in the miata appears to have increased. I would like to get another 3 events in in the STR class this year, but I'm not sure how long it will take to get another engine in the car/rebuild. I may see if going back to heavier weight ...

Re: Event #7 @ BMS/ SEDIV Championship
I think there is a lot of self selection going on with how historically so many events have been run at Pelli. For all of us over in the tri-cities area that is just as far of a drive as for the Knoxville guys to make it over to the other side of the ETR region. Good promotion and balancing out wher...

Re: Event #7 @ BMS/ SEDIV Championship
That is what I was thinking the strategy must be. Also seems like any coned run you must still try to salvage in case you have an even worse run later on.John Brown wrote:Every run is balls to the wall! and you cant hit over 2 cones thru out the entire event.

Re: Event #7 @ BMS/ SEDIV Championship
We will be using rally x scoring where all runs count except for one drop from each day so if you get 5 runs per day your best 4 runs count from each day to get your time. Is this really how event #7 will be done? I should really actually read the page on msr when I'm signing up... This should be a...

Re: CHILHOWEE EVENT
I'm out for this one given the change in venue. Two hours each way for two days in a row is just a bit much. I don't have a tire trailer yet and if it rains that will add an hour in the miata, which is not a fun extra hour of driving.
See you all at the next event with an extra 20+hp!

Re: Tri-Cities Potential Spots
I think the poles are pretty well a non-issue, but the islands at Pelli and especially at Smokies with the distance to the edge curbing could be much better.

Re: Tri-Cities Potential Spots
Just like Pellissippi always has the course 25 feet from poles and curbsthrdeye wrote:Yep, if there were no poles, it would be a good spot for a school or something, but we have to be 25 ft away from poles and curbs, per safety regulations, so it just isn't workable.
