I used what is the equivalent of 8 D cells to start mine. http://i713.photobucket.com/albums/ww138/eunos735/254511_10150196767569242_500104241_6912003_3411904_n.jpg You have to make sure the fans aren't running, and you have to wait for the fuel pump to stop priming before you start it. But it works...

Yea it's now a 2.1L and I actually went UP in compression. I'm running C16 race fuel so I can get away with the higher CR. The CR worked out to right at 10.3:1 when all was said and done. I'm taking it to Atlanta Tuesday to have it tuned. It wasn't amking anywhere near the power on the old motor as ...

WOW...it has been a LONG 3 months since I started gathering parts for this build. I am REALLY glad the motor ran when I turned the key. Took it to the CRSCCA Test N Tune and was able to get the rings seated and some rough tuning done. When I got home I found the cause of the spitting and sputtering....

Set FTD at a few local events, Trophy at a tour, Run a 6 second 1/8th mile pass in the Miata, lose 100lbs out of the Miata...with 30 being from the driver.
