Re: Marks Roundy Round Experience vs. AutoX.
Good luck Mark! I've been getting my fix crap can racing. Wheel to wheel is great. I can't (won't?) afford to campaign an IT car, but Lemons and Chumpcar are great alternatives. Circle track looks like fun!

I'll be there with the Lemons crew, trying to break in the new engine before CMP in Feb. Anyone else going?

Re: WTB... cheap transportation.
I don't think it matters if you run it on an AT ecu. The MR2 guys run their MT Camry/Solara V6 swaps on AT ECUs all the time. Hard to find an MT V6 Camry/Solara.

That's our 24 Hours of Lemons Eagle Talon. Team Capitan Dave, trying to get some break-in miles on the rebuild before CMP in Feb. Pretty hardcore weather for Falken Azenis. The window net doesn't do much to keep the snow out.

Re: WTB... cheap transportation.
I do have a distributor from a 93 2.2L 5SFE. I'm not sure if I have an ECU or not. He can have the distributor for free if it will help out.

$5k is a good estimate of what it will cost to go racing the first time, depending on whether you have safety gear. I've done it a couple of times now and it is a blast.

That's only $100 each if you have a 4-man team. You'll spend more than that in a Lemons weekend on beer. (If you're doing it right.)

FS: Good car for 24 Hours of Lemons
One of my coworkers has a 92 Cavalier 5spd she's selling. $400 if you pull out the CD deck. Ugly but functional, including air. I'm trying to find a good justification to drag it home myself. Would be good for a Lemons car / rallyx'er or dirt track....or just cheap transportation. tmarlenac@charter....

1991 MR2
Anyone looking for an E-stock MR2? I've got a pretty nice MR2 in the 'barn' that could make a good E Stock car with 14" wheels and the usual ES mods. I found an '88 supercharged MR2 I'm thinking about picking up, which is the only reason I would get rid of this car. I'm looking for around $2750...

Re: Heritage High School
I graduated in '96. The pavement sucked then, and hasn't been redone since. Didn't stop us from having impromptu autocrosses though.
On top of the bad surface, there is a pretty steep slope.

I can't believe that in about 60 out of about 70 of those comments, people outright proclaim that they never speed. Then...these little PDs use that revenue to equip themselves like paramilitary force. They'll be rolling in the murdered out urban tactical assault vehicle with full body armor ...
