Re: The Official "Ima goin ta Dixie" thread.

that's the important thing... YOU were there.

Too many local drivers don't go to national events regardless how they "know" they will end up.

congrats!

I'm still waiting on the results for the shootout. Maybe those get posted after the whole thing is done.

Re: The Official "Ima goin ta Dixie" thread.

Steve, while we've never met.... my condolences to you... family comes first as always. I see that Lin had alot of cones jump out in front of her. I hate that. Luckily she was able to get a clean run on that last run. I stopped watching/checking after the 3rd run, forgetting that the match tour setu...

Re: Regional #1

Unfortunately, I won't be making the event tomorrow..... I was in town last weekend. I plan on making at least a couple down there this year. If all goes well even without running national events this year I'll still get 13-18 events in between 5 SCCA regions. GOod luck to everyone tomorrow and glad...

Re: Mark Pilson in SportsCar!

Yes, that image that was used by the artist to make that cover was one of the Perry Bennett shots. I have that picture on my bookcase :)

I told Kim "Well, that is about the only way that I will make it into the magazine other than just the list of drivers that didn't win "

Re: Mark Pilson in SportsCar!

I noticed Mark's car in there as well

Oddly enough, my car is the Z06 on the cover

Talk about a way to encourage the 'new' blood... put the slowest Z06 @ solo nats in 2012 and put in on the cover....

Might be good to get down there in March to shake down the car after the upgrades/setup changes coming soon.

We have a penciled-in schedule but can't post about it yet.

I plan on making more events down there this year.

Next year me, you and Matt will have to go beat up on some of those NCCC peeps... :D I still owe you a drive in the car. Sorry I had to bolt before your runs were d...

Re: 2004 SSP Corvette for sale!

Oh yeah, Sam has been instrumental in helping me sort the car out. Actually Sam's been one of the biggest mentors I've had since my Phase 1 in the Cobalt. He and I have been talking about me needing to do the shocks now and I will be getting the Koni's. Sounds like a plan Robert. I'm sure we'll talk...

Re: ADESA - DRIVING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE 2012 - OFFICIAL THR

I wasn't able to stay that long for the shootout, and with me not being local, even if I would've been staying it wouldn't have been fair to take a spot from someone local that could have a real shot at going further with it. Cool tropies too! I was reffering to the pro class deal with 3 runs counti...

Ok, so now that I have more time. As I said before, big thanks to the region, the organizers, and the united way for putting on a great event. I know it was a long day for everyone and appreciate everyone for sticking it out. The weather was iffy for the morning and I feel bad for those guys that ha...
